saryol this comment might be like a compliment in your mind but calling someone’s eyes small and “cute”... 🧐 don’t think I would like to read that if I were Jae.
If I wanna be productive physically (cleaning, manual labor, washing clothes), I need to be up early. If I wanna be productive creatively (life planning, story writing, proofreading, language-learning, deep conversations), I have to stay up late. All the objective in me is out in the AM and all the subjective in me is out late in the PM.
I can't be the only one who is in love with Jae and Diane's dynamic. They just vibe so well and they're both effortlessly funny and so easy and relaxing to listen to
He reminds me of a guy I dated years ago, the way he spoke about things (literally anything) made me want to never stop talking to him! He was (still is) awesome!
i feel like jae is the kinda person you could go up to and be like ‘dude i feel like sh!t today’ and he wouldn’t make a big deal of it but he also wouldn’t ignore you he’d just comfort you in whichever way was best and i know this is random but yeah idk i love jae lol he’s the best
As someone who just finished their first year of college, I can confirm that they are speaking facts. Literally none of my friends went to the same college and yet we're still closer and the new experiences that we've made have helped us grow so much.
I kinda agree with the saying, "There's nothing good happens after 2 AM," mostly because you're not on your sober state, and those time when it's getting quiet all the 'What ifs' pops up, you're wondering and wishing something that you wish you could tell/happen. But here's the thing, if you don't think about that matter regardless the time, you don't really mean it. Or if you are unsure about it and only could let it out in those kind of time, that doesn't really good/matter. Because you knew that doesn't good. This is just value that I hold onto, but lmk if you guys have different insight ;D
(17:30) Jae: I might just start sleeping late again Diane: No! You're DAYYYY6 [not night6] Jae:... Diane:.... Diane: THIS IS WHEN YOU FAKE LAUGH Jae: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH ROFLMAOOO I Laughed so hard omg
i honestly couldn't understand a single thing when they were talking about ap and uc and all that jazz like whuttt my southeast asian ass cant relate hahaha
AP are high school classes that boost your GPA and you can get college credit. UC are University of California schools such as UC Berkely and UCLA (they are prestigious public colleges in California.) To get into UC schools you'd need a high GPA and AP classes to get in.
@@myyunni I know in the US we use college and university almost interchangeably and I always get confused when people from every where else in the world talk about university because I know it's not necessarily what I think it means.
They also talk about GATE which is a program for elementary school kids who are considered smart. Also, they talk about KEY Club which is a mostly known Asian community service club. Also, there are two public school systems in California. UC which is University of California, they are known to be more prestigious and they focus more on research and are graduate schools and PhDs programs with a lower amount of undergraduates. Then, there is CSU, California State University, which he went to CSU Long Beach, that system is more focused for undergraduates, but do offer graduate programs and very limited PhDs.
@@lucastrash3068 oh yes GATE (stands for Gifted and Talented Education). (Is it reslly just a California thing? That's where I'm from.) Did it for one grade and the work was hard. Went from being one of the smartest in class to feeling like one of the dumbest in class. I think I'm just smart and they threw me in with actual geniuses who made fun of my for not being as smart as them. Kinda sucked.
Yes Diane! One of the reasons I quit my job was because my manager was so nit picky about when I "punch in and out" and being in the office all the time. While my previous manager, at the same company, didn't care as much as long as the work was done and understood if I worked remotely when needed. I was definitely much more productive with the previous manager.
i’m watching/hearing this at 5am so it’s kinda ironic, but there are so many helpful and relatable points,, i’m really liking this podcast ^^ it’s nice
dianne should have a seat next to jae she is really cool and fun to talk to i really want her to sit in front of the camera, sorry if i misspelled your name.
She's talking a lot in this one and I love it. They bounce off each other very well. I wish we could see her. I know it's Jae's podcast but they are great together and she should be on camera too.
I love this segment lol. It depends on what kind of productivity for me. If it's like chores and stuff, I have to wake up early. But if I want to write, usually I'm up late. And I definitely agree with what you said about feeling lazy! I'd never thought of that before but it makes so much sense.
I need a friend like him , he listening people well , even give a attention well too.. meanwhile my sucks friend always changing the topics 🤣 And i know she will read this comment and punch me on whatsapp (she also subscribing Dive) 🤣
here i am, successfully waking up early after a few weeks and watching this as soon as it got uploaded edit: i.. fell asleep at 12 pm and woke up around 3 pm hi
I would really want to have a genuine conversation with Jae. I feel like he has a lot of variant ideas about subjects and he has a special way of expressing them with words. While watching this podcast i never get bored, hope i get the chance to meet him someday 🧚🏼♀️
“If you feel lazy that says more about what your doing, maybe what your doing isn’t worth it” Me after hearing that: *stares at my laptop right next to me waiting for me to finish my schoolwork*
I just finished final exams for this week that made me think I was a slacker huh(?) but after listening to 27:18 I was like ah I totally agree with you jae, maybe I just havent figured out yet how insteresting my subject was
I love that i am getting all these references since i live in LA, but for what it is worth, CSULB is a difficult Cal state school to get into, sometimes much harder than a UC.
