Restaurierter Panzerjäger Panther "Jagdpanther" (Sd.Kfz. 173) in Geländefahrt. Das Fahrzeug ist bis in kleinste Details wie z.B. die Struktur der Aussenlackierung originalgetreu restauriert.
When I saw the Panther and Jagdpanther right next to each other at the US Army Ordinance Museum, Aberdeen, Maryland, you could see that the slope of whole side armor (right above the tracks) of the hull superstructure on the Jagdpanther represents the same angle of the side hull armor of the Panther. Beautiful design relation. I ran my bare hand on this chunky hard cold steel side armor .... Perfect combination of speed, mobility, firepower, and protection .... ❤️
@@usmc5977 the comment is moot. if the these guys had been there in numbers and working as intended even when it was all really over as in d-day it would still have been some terrifying extra losses. Had hitler not rushed the war and gone in as was planned as in 4 years later the war would probably have been won by the nazis.
@@usmc5977 You do understand that ground- and airforce are supposed to work in tandem right? Tanks are not made to fight planes not now, not back than...
One of the biggest reasons why germany lost ww2 they dont have enough oil the running german war machine if they had it enough oil the ww2 would have another story
yup you seen the panther video where the panther just reached 40km/h in a breeze? or the king tiger that reaches 40 allot faster? german tanks weren't slow.. thats all allied propagando to make sure suicide crews would rush tigers hoping to kill it simply because a general said it was slow....
more amazingly is that the JP achived a confirmed kill at 4.5km range just imagine that in ww2.... sitting in a T-34 or Sherman kknowing you need to cover 4km to geting the JP into your own kill range.... even a IS2 was dead meat at that range
I love Sherman tank in all of it's variants. It's one of my all time favorite tank series. However, you have to admit that even the M4A3(76)W HVSS was near-hopelessly outmatched by PzVs and VIs. Only the Firefly had a realistically fair shot of defeating them. At least the M4s was a good match against the PzIIIs and IVs (tanks that the M4 was anticipated to encounter) but the experience of the Geman crews, as well as their far superior optics, guns, and projectiles still gave them the edge.
Gosh I envy that driver having great fun driving that beast around as if it was a toy! Besides being impressed with his driving skills I was impressed with the very good genetal restoration and in particular with the notoriously difficult engine! Not once it was spluttering or smoking despite being pushed quite hard and the sound was marvelous! If you compare with the Tiger of bovington museum you can hear the difference! The Tiger engine is less harmonious, more ragged and smokey! Did the Germans employed a veteran to do such a marvelous restoration on that engine? The only flaw on that Jagpanther is the left exhaust pipe as it was only installed on the Panther A! A curious mistake! Anyway I would love to drive around that beast! God job!
Paolo Viti The two ladies from Koblenz (Ute/Jagdpanther 234 and Ulrike/Panther 801) have very late model Maybach HL230 not the HL210 of the very early model Bovington Tiger. They have been in "active duty" during the development of the Leopard 1 and the "KaJaPa" so they got some more maintenance and the "best available" spares. They also had the benefit of being always "active" or "stored in reserve" and so their general state was always very good, basically they are not restaurations but well maintained oldtimersIn the case of 801 she is a "Ausf. G Too late" (build from existing parts for the british army post Mai 1945) so she is likely the best preserved Panther anyway
Michael Brinkhues thanks for the info! It makes sense! Yes I know very well that two "ladies" has the later Maybach HL230 whilst the Bovington Tiger has the first series HL210 and that the 810 was built from existing parts together with, if I'm not wrong, other 4 Panthers! Nevertheless I think that they did a hell of a good job!
If you like the Jagdpanther check his little brother the "Hetzer". Half the size, half the cost, veeeery effective, specially in ambush engagements, and very much loved by its crews.
Great, I look forward to seeing those. Whatever you do don't add music, V12 sounds are much better. Right, I'm taking my 1/16 rc Jagdpanther for a drive now after watching your video. I've also got a Panzer 3 r/c so I enjoyed watching your other video.
Just listen that engine!! Awesome!! Fully restored jadgpanther with zimmerit. I wish I could see restored jagdtiger. Germans has always been building the best cars and tanks in the world... and they continue it now
Fantastic to see this!!! The allies have to count theirselves very lucky that the Germans produced it too late and too few............ It also has a very 'sexy' silhouette. Sehr schön. Vielen Dank.
Nice bit of footage, you need the next one without the crowd or buildings in the background if you can, We'll be transported to another time. Thanks for posting and in good quality too.
Superb..and one that I don't have as a 1:16 RC model. I have 3 x all metal Taigen Tiger 1, King Tiger, Panzer IV, and a Panther G. Would love a Jagdpanther!
Awesome bit of kit...my fave the Panther and Jagd...Germans certainly knew how to make tanks look good.if I was a sherman crew and heard it coming..reverse gear and get hell out of there
From a book on tanks I once read: "German tanks were slow and not very mobile in terrain, making them more suited for defence positions". I say bullshit.
Yeah they were quite fast actually. There are some Videos of Panthers going full speed. Even Jagdtigers reached 40km/h. (video: Jagdtiger surrender Iserlohn)
