It's not always an instant death. I was doing tob with clan mates when I got disconnected before we started verzik. I had to join back in on the same world while on mobile because my computer wouldn't load. I was able to log in and out a few times while trying to get my computer to work. I was able to finish the kill on mobile with them even though I started the raid on pc. As long as they don't start the next boss fight you should be fine but I would suggest testing it out first before trying on a hc
