Jaguar F-Type V6S Long Term Review & Ownership 

I'm 30 and this Jag was supposed to be my self birthday present, thanks to covid now will be my 31st year old present. EDIT: My birthday is in 1 month but I just got my full black V6 F-type in the garage. Your video helped me to decide, thank you!

Who would have thought that Jaguar could pull off such an image change that a brand once associated with old men is now the object of desire by men only just old enough to shave.

I have had two of these. Both have been incredible. Low mileage cars with huge discount to new. Had a ‘16 S coupe with the six. So beautiful, but, I found the ingress/egress very hard. Now, I purchased a ‘14 V8 S convertible. Wow, the power of this engine is crazy fun. Both have been very reliable and are really such great values. Enjoyed your video!

Really nice review, agree with you regarding Jaguar dual character, it's two cars for the price of one really. Agreed on touchscreens too, fine for certain functions but as you say basic controls need physical buttons for safety. I've got an XE S as I need rear seats but I'd love an F-type one day!

What a highly informative and practical review! One commentator appears surprised that Jaguar has ceased to be a “car for old men”. In fact, the brand always had a diverse audience. Sir William Lyons - its founder - realised to be profitable this was vital. In the 1950s and 1960s the XK 120s, 140s,150s, and originally the E Types were largely younger peoples’ cars. I'm a F type Coupe S awd owner and i love this car. I didn't go for the convertible because there was no space in the back.....at all. As a daily driver the coupe is better as you said. I do have the sportseats and i think they're more comfortable. Thanks for this video. Peace from the Netherlands ✌🏻

I like this iteration of the car, those gills especially being seamlessly integrated into the bumper. I will be in the market for a 2016/2017 V6 manual car in a few months, convertible preferred but I'm not totally ruling out a coupe.

Love the spec!!! Love the car and completely agree with your views on touchscreens, they’re impressive on a dealer lot but annoying and unsafe to use whilst driving

I owed a V6S from 2013 to 2017, loved the car, just fantastic, however, what I did not like was how other people treated me while driving it, I had verbal abuse from people on the sidewalk while just sitting in traffic, people would not give me any room on very narrow roads, as they know you would yield, Envy is a horrible thing and sadly there are a lot of people who suffer from it. I loved the sound and I loved the way it drove, now I have a Range Rover Sport instead, as a result all the problems seem to have gone away, especially the narrow road problems.

Great review. I have never been a Jaguar fan (reliability being one of my biggest reservations with the brand), but fell in love with the F-type from the moment I saw one in a parking lot. I actually parked my car and got out just to get a closer look, as it is an absolutely beautiful design. Once I heard the sound of the exhaust, I was in love.

Looking at buying one atm, this is a good down to earth review of the car :)

Man I am SO jealous! I thought the exact same thing -- saw the car when Jeremy drove it on Top Gear and absolutely fell in love. I've been lucky enough to drive it a couple of times, but I don't own one (yet). It is my absolute dream car, I hope I can own one some day!

Thanks for this, I've had a battle between head, (sensible) and heart, (just go for it). so consequently have been going round and round trying to find something that fits both catagories. Oh and factor in the fact that I go back and forth to Italy a lot. With the price of these very reasonable nowadays I have decided to have one of these and a little economical diesel Alfa. Happy days...

I have the exact same car in the exact same shade and I love it. My seats are beige though and not black. That Clarkson episode is the first place I saw it as well.

I have a 2015 coupe and love the car. In a world where a BMW looks like a Hyundai, the F-Type stands out as a gorgeous car.

Absolutely beautiful car and love that u got rid of the chrome bits.

I had a 2014 V6 S - three years of constant issues with it. Spent more time at the dealership than it did in my garage.

I am seriously considering getting one. Its between an F type or an M3. My wife prefers the M3 but I love the F type. I've never driven one but I've got a test drive booked in 2 weeks, cant wait.

Good review . I have the exact same car. I have 55000km on the odometer and only had one issue with the active exhaust system (broken, under warranty.). I love the car but like you said, the infotainment system is horendous. Little disappointment too with the sound system. Not as good as my B&O in my Audi S4. Sports seat are very comfortable, even for long runs. Also, It took me 2 years to find a good driving position, where I could see my speed and RPM. Cabin space in sparse...can't even find a place to put a bottle of water (door pocket too small).

How did you black everything out? Did you have it all professionally painted and touched up or did you just plasti dip it yourself? Looks absolutely beautiful

Recently test drove a f type r. You’re correct on the infotainment system. Deal killer for me. Will keep my bmw f13 m6 for a bit longer.

I absolutly agree. I own a Jaguar F-Peace S and although the engine and the driving experience is just awsome, the media systems of the car is terrible. Also agree in the seats, the feel cheap. But still its my best driving experience so far

About 3 months ago I bought the 2018 F Type R.. it’s the V 8 version with 550 hp.. it’s an amazing everyday car .. I drive about 50 miles a day and it’s a great thrill to drive . I’ve had half a dozen people come up up me and compliment me .
