Video review of the 2007 Jaguar S Type 2.7 Diesel - how does it drive? My thoughts on how the Jaguar drives in general, what the automatic box is like, how stable it is on journeys, how easy it is to see and use the controls, what the gearshift and power delivery is like.
This is a four video series -

Thanks for your review. It is a comfortable car and I think it handles well. My SE 2.7 diesel has a heated windscreen, two stage heated seats, front parking sensors, and the sport button just changes the gear change points. MPG varies a lot. On a long run at steady speeds I can get over 40 mpg and high forties on occasions. Around town from cold it struggles to better 20mpg. About 34 mpg average for me. I sometimes drive 3 hours plus and it is very comfortable. I use a Bluetooth adapter that links to my phone.

My S type has heated seats, heated windscreen, superb suspension and ride whether in normal drive or sport. Sits well on B roads and so quiet on faster roads. My car is a 52 plate 3L petrol so pre-dates the version here by 5 years. Has now done 131,000 and still has great wearing leather seats and provided it has servicing drives really well. Mine has 16" wheels and I find no real issues with that but then again have not driven on 17-18" wheels. Have driven/owned similar dated BMW's and I find the Jaguar better to drive and be in overall. Petrol, well why worry, if you own a Jaguar you just pay for the gas but mine has achieved 38mpg on a 120 mile drive at steady 70mph but about 18/19 urban. Just saying..............

Yes, ride and handling is definitely subjective. Personally, more because I'm used to sports cars, I prefer sportier (ie harder!) suspension. Thanks for watching - don't forget to spread the petrolhead word!

We had the DPF cleaned in this car for little money, and it runs sweet as a nut. Thanks for watching!
