Jaguar XK8 - DSC (Traction control) fixed - and centre console removal My 2004 XKR, the DSC function was not working. This shows what I had to change to rectify the fault. It also fixed the heated seats.
I discovered them on Instagram. They were supplied already fitted to a refurbished arm rest and for half the price of the used original cup holder armrests. I am very pleased.
Great video, thank you! Shoudn’t the two curvy metal pieces come on top of the wooden centre piece to keep it in place, instead of being under it? In my car it does. There’s no use for them being under it. If it’s in the right place, the wooden piece goes a millimeter or two deeper in the centre consol which has the added benefit of hiding the cloth material at the edge. But one has to be careful, overtightening the 4 screws can crack the lacquer on the veneer.
hi just watched your video thanks very informative ihave the same problem with my 03 reg xk8 with the same switch bank as your car but cannot source said part do you have a contact i could try please many thanks Tony
Hi. The place is use is Autoreserve Jaguar. They are an online car breaker. If not it might be worth posting on a forum for help. I don't know how to do it but I am sure the switch bank would be repairable by the right electrician. I'd love to hear how you get on. Good luck.
This might sound weird and too easy but I was having the same problem with My TCS it would work intermittently..an electrician friend suggested I spray it with contact cleaner and what do you know after 3 years of fighting trying trying do a burn out lol I could say my TCS works perfectly now 5 dollar fix ...only issue is now I'll be spending more on tires ...2nd gear in the j shift will spin tires until you are full of some in the cabin
@@ccuk yeah my spring back was really sticky also I had to use tweezers to move it back and forth but after I sprayed the cleaner it moved on its own .. Now if the intermittent horn problem was that easy to fix
