TO THIS FORUM: ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTE FOR THE TRUE ART OF "JAILHOUSE ROCK", CLOSE QUARTER BOXING! let it be known that I would never present anything for views nor clicks. Every video I post on the art was taught to ME by REAL STREET BOXERS WHO HAD TO MODIFY THEIR RING SKILLS FOR LIFE BEHIND BARS. I am NOT glorying a life of crime! I am only spreading an art form and form of SELF DEFENSE in MEMORY OF masters who are now IN THEIR LATE 60S AND EARLY 70S. Beware of RIPOFFS. BLESSINGS, Sayf Carman
@RandelOland901-ATT: :). I appreciate it, but youtube is a biiiiiiiig platform. Their are a few people teaching functional self defense. I may be one of only a few who are black and for sure it is rare that someone is teaching the bare knuckle boxing that was seen on the east coast in the 60s and 70s.
@JuneyDiaz-ro3sc: Bas Rutten and others have knocked out people with palm strikes in Pancrese. That is strong evidence of the effectiveness of them. However, if you compare the amount of street fights to broken hands (and now bare knuckle), the ratio has been over estimated and is another way IMOP to sound "profound" on the internet. If you need to punch, punch! It is not obsolete as people who have gotten knockedout and hurt by them will attest.
How are you coach , i missed your vids while in jail im out on bail after serving 6 months in a max unit i was in a self defense situation the DA wants to ruin me whatever happens happens i hold your knowledge dear
@@TheUmmahFightCamp I hope you don't mind if I ask a question. Do you believe that Aikido works? By the way I practiced Aikido before and I asked this question because many people in the internet mock this martial artt. They said that it doesn't work in real life.
@@renatoabrigo6965 For the most part, my stance is this: Masters generally were not in the business of wasting their time. If they devised something, even if it was practiced against their own art per se, it had its place. With Aikido, evasion is the focus and in that regard it is good, at some point though, you have to engage and at that point, no more evading. I do think it has its value though. Keep in mind though, that the people who say it is garbage, likely are from the group that think pulling guard in the street wins fights.
