Jak II Infinite Orb Glitch Isn't Fully Patched Out 

I tried this again to see if this method works and it still does. The update version for the game at this time is 1.03. *Tried it again on 04/18/2023. It still works.

I just did this method. I started at about 46 orbs and went to 197 using it. It took me about 3 hours or less. I couldn’t get a good rhythm to it. Do what he says, and once you do it right the first time, restart the mission and save, from which point your save will begin right at the quest giver and not at the beginning of the bazaar. I knew I had many over world orbs left so I just went to 197 and got the rest at the mountain Temple.

Thanks for the video. 😉 This glitch also works in Jak 3, but it doesn't do the sound when obtaining the orb right at the same time for the pause menu, but it still works, though. ^^

If you want an easier way, just use debug mode and connect a second controller for the PS5 or PS4 and while in debug mode, hold L3 and press X I believe and it gives you 1000 orbs and 1000 skull gems and all unlockables, I’d recommend doing it after beating the game but if you’d like to do it so you don’t have over 286 orbs then try this videos method.

Thanks. Took a few tries, but then I finally got the hang of it. I'm using the location that's adjacent to where you are in the metal part of the city as shown in most of the other glitch videos. I recommend using this to get up to the threshold of when the trophies are (125 and 286 respectively) and go to another part of the game to make the trophy pop. This will make it look more legitimate for those like me with screenshots on trophies achieved.

I used to do it the harder way back in the day, I'd wait out the timer and punch at them after its hitting zero, fail the mission earn the orbs, restart rinse repeat. Mess up every once in a while actually completing the orb hunt challenge. That version doesnt work from my testing either. I was platinum running trying to get all the trophies as fast as possible playing reverse order, jak x went quick, jak 3 was going fine but I noticed a bug i never had back in the day, no orb payment from challenges, thought i just wasnt paying attention, got the story and some challenges fone in like 6-8 hours then went after all challenges, couldn't do my version of the orb glitch so I just grinded, until all I had left was the gold on wave concussor course, and I had 6 extra orbs on top of that to earn, with no other challenges available. So I had to resort to the debug mode orb glitch, much easier but I really preferred how I used to be able to time it. Feels more rewarding that way, like I actually did a thing, this method that works outside of the debug duping method requires some precision it seems though. I may try it for fun. Jak 2s debug orb cheat works off rip to earn all orb trophies, whereas jak 3s requires you to hit the exact number I believe, and maybe you have to collect some physical orbs too, idk nobody explained it all, that the second controller orb cheat goes 100 orbs at a time and will skip past your trophies requirements if you arent on a double zero, and 50 you have to earn on your own. Well I only needed the 600 orbs trophy and maybe from zero would have worked but I goofed not knowing I needed 00 on the end to make it work. I thought I could stray from what the tutorial did, failed my trophy requirements, and restarted, but I at least figured out more about how it worked than the video I originally watched told me. Bro this video told me to dupe 300 orbs with the debug method, then use the second controller orb cheat... I might go test on a second account to see if you could just immediately use the cheat for 300 and 600 orbs, then restart and collect the 50 orbs with duping..because I'm 100% certain the video I watched made me waste alot of time for no reason, not just because I goofed it up but they didnt know or tell us why they went to 300 orbs duping, 100 would have 100% worked. I had never touched debug mode before the game screwed me out of orbs, then I just said F it and used debug for fun through my jak 2 playthrough. Did the OG all on my own in 7 hours to platinum though.

works still! definetly use two saves, but if you load before the auto save icon pops up you can still load save

You can go into debug mode and get the collectables that way, they say you need two controllers (I'm using PS4) but if you just sign the same controller in as a guest it'll work too To get into debug mode (from main menu) you hold L3 and press up up down down left right left right x x square circle square circle Then in the next part cause it'll load you in hold L3 again and circle square circle square x x right left right left down down When you need to switch for the collectables as second controller (or guest with the same controller) just hold L3 and X Only doing this as I wasn't aware of the game not registering all the orbs until the end and I've some not registered from not manual saving, and because I couldn't get this glitch to work

Doing full completion and I think I missed the one orb you can’t get again before the metal head base. So tempted to do this lol

Just to let everyone know this still works took me about an hour to get used to it but once I did I went from 174 to 250 something just save after every successful attempt, it takes a little bit of time, but it does work

Guys just login with a second account on a second controller, and on the menu spam L3+X, I got like 100.000 orbs lol

You can just use debug mode and use a second controller to get unlimited orbs (yes even more than 286) is literal seconds

I'm averaging about 30 orbs an hour this shits hard lol

Pov: when you Cannot make the glitch, then you move to the de-bug mode by pressing the controller's code on start menu.

Unmissable Orbs in Jak 2 is a travesty, plain and simple. Heck there are 7 of them in the opening alone!

Hello. Do this trick still work? In trying to get platinum and its very complicated

There was an alternate method where you go right next the the orb, hold the dark jak button, then press restart mission. You will still turn into dark jak, and that would absorb the orb while starting over, but this was when I was on ps3, so can someone try this and let me know?

Can someone please tell me this still works? My game bugged out and now I've lost 3 orbs. The mission is complete so I can't do it again. Fuck me I am not starting this shit all over again I was 6 orbs off platinum only for this to ruin it all. Golding the challenges were bad enough. Please help
