Dynamic engine brake competition for the Wheel Jam 2014, in Huron, SD. It has plenty of loud Jake Brake sounds coming from them BIG RIG'S straight pipes.
***Winners**** (Out of 32 semi's that entered)
1st place got $300 plus a trophy,
2nd place got $200 plus a trophy,
3rd place got a trophy,
4th place got a trophy.

+Johndeere 100 the new detroits not so much but the old ones. OH YEAH, the more you Make em scream the more they like it. High RPM shift is the reason for that. Most trucks today have a 1200-1500 shift range due to noise regulations the manufacturers had to make the changes. But that noise is nto the engine screaming it is the engine brake which is restricted in a lot of places.

Big rigs the joy of kids as a kid getting them to honk the air horns would make us smile for hours and getting to see one jake brake to a stop or just slowing down we felt like we hit the lottery . Leaving a red light in the family car and watching one jam thru the gears with great sounding pipes telling my dad to slow down stay beside him with a smile ear to ear and the rare chance back then to see one chromed out with giant stacks just staring at it in awe what a machine . That's what big rigs are besides work horses they are Disney world on wheels with free admission.

I was the same way! So when I grew up I jumped in one and started driving. Chrome, straight pipes, big engines, and loud Jake's! Got out about 6 years ago and missed it every day since!

Electric delivery trucks was around in the past. They made them for 30 some years. That can happen again. Maybe I will make a movie about my thoughts on that.

Yup it is . I ran the same one for 1 year 8 inch stacks and it was gutted no muffler . You were deaf a bit by end of the day . Glad i don't run it anymore too loud ! Lol . Turned alot of heads though .

i was really impressed with the freightliner, that is loudest Jake brake i ever heard from a freightliner. but was it the peterbilt with a 133 decibel range, holy cow that was awesome

My dads work is next to a truck route. I love going there and just listening to the trucks using their engine breaks. Sounds so cool. I love the big dump trucks too. Bad ass. Now if only I could get my cummins to sound like that ;)
