I had a c-15 550 in my old international, had nothing but problems with it. It pulled good, but it didn't pull as good as it should have. They eat up way too much fuel too, that was the biggest hit. They sound good, but that's about it.

Cat's are pretty good motors, but if you want to save on fuel you want a detroit 60 series. I've heard people getting like 7 mpg towing like 80,000 my guess. They still make good power, so does cummins. Cats are known for high torque though.

@cbman96 Not really. You can shift all day with the jake on and never activate it. I always leave my foot barely on the gas pedal. Noobs are the ones you hear lift.
