From Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the NBC series revolving around Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), a New York City Police Department (NYPD) detective in Brooklyn's fictional 99th Precinct, who often comes into conflict with his commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). The series also stars Terry Crews as Sargeant Terry Jeffords, Melissa Fumero as Amy Santiago, Stephanie Beatriz as Rosa Diaz, Chelsea Peretti as Gina Linetti and Joe Lo Truglio as Charles Boyle.

My brother is similar except he never studies for any test at all and passes them with ease. When we ask him if he studies he lies saying he did we all know he's lying

The best part about the interrogation episode is that Holt almost had him when he started to complain about dentists being called doctors. That was the one time that the suspect was actually losing his cool. If Holt had not had a breakdown, he would have cracked him

The Interrogation episode is my favourite. The writing is tense, snappy, funny, and the solution is hinted at when the Dentist lost his cool at not being called a real doctor. His ego is his weakness. 10/10 episode, it's so tightly written. And remember to care about Entomology.

Can I just say that the pariadontist would've made a perfect Moriarty figure for the show. Like he could've had an arc and been the one criminal jake was always one step behind. The Pontiac bandit was amazing and filled that role nicely but the doctor had charm, wit, and gravity to his character and was actually pretty terrifying and beautifully portrayed by Sterling K. Brown. It's just a thought I had.

I love that thought, and I agree. The gravity would have been the defining edge, too - the edge that the Pontiac Bandit didn't have. Granted, he didn't need it, but it still would have worked in the show.

Jake and JD (from Scrubs) are two of my favorite characters on TV not only because they are the source of the comedy - they are at the same time incredibly competent at what they are doing. Shows that you do not have to be "stupid" to be a funny comedy character

I'm sure it's been talked about, but as someone who is newly diagnosed to have adhd I understand why I relate and like Jake. I also see the quirkiness of everything he does. Already knowing this and not being able to fully relate is funny and tingles my brain.
