I absolutely love the growing confidence from Timon! I’ve really noticed how he is interjecting more and 11/10 times it’s a perfectly timed quip! Dare I say, best addition to the talkshow.
It’s been about a year since I’ve listened (different life phase with a toddler - nothing personal ;) and I must say the pod feels more polished. Tighter segments, good transitions (even with sponsors), and good three person dynamic. It was good before but now feels like you guys have families and boundaries but are sticking to key fun parts. Keep it up!
Jake, I will absolutely miss seeing you on tour. But so happy for you that you feel good about life right now! Prayers for all the best in your many endeavors. 🙏🏼
A quote from my mom that I always live by: "Life's too short to buy the cheap toilet paper." That woman buys the off brand option of almost everything, but no matter how tight the budget was we ALWAYS had Charmin.😅 I'm shocked and appalled every time I'm at a friend's house and reach for the toilet paper to find something even slightly scratchy, or worse, ONE PLY?!?! Seriously, that is reserved for gas station bathrooms, people.
As a fellow mother of four young children, I am right there with Kathryn on some trash getting left in the car! When you’re unbuckling babies, carrying their water cups, diaper bag, toys they brought in the car, your water, your purse, and sometimes miscellaneous items, the trash sometimes gets left behind for a few days!! I definitely want to be better about this but for now the kids and I do a big clean out every couple of weeks and call it good enough. 🤷🏻♀️ You’re doing great, Kathryn! Someday we will have clean cars too. 😂
I caught Jake's big announcement on the other podcast he's on.... I won't say the name of it but when I heard you say it I was caught off guard, and had to pause it for a second for me to digest it. But always supporting you and your dreams ☺️
Timon, I hope you’re gonna be at main street roasters cause if you’re down I need to sing a duet with you. My brotha you’ve got the smoothest vocals known to man.
Jake! I feel so lucky that I was able to see you on tour twice with Trey. You are an amazing stand up comedian. I was sad to hear that you won’t be back for the 3rd time but I understand why you made your decision! I wish you and Rachel the best of luck in all of your future adventures!
Okayyy, I have a roommate from Louisiana, and every single day she asks my other roommate and I (both from the midwest) if we've ever done something that she thinks is so normal and she can't believe that we've never heard of what she's talking about! It's a daily conversation, so I just had them listen to that clip!!
Timon I am also a huge Bryan Adams fan. I think “I will always be right there” is just the perfect wedding song. Here I am is also an awesome song! Thanks for sharing.
My 5 yr old overhears me listen to the pod every week and he rarely comments, but heard the cold open, laughed and said “that’s funny!” Chaos is the key to that audience apparently. I loved it too.
I stopped the pod to post that comment before y’all started talking about younger people liking this idea. It’s very true! Give me some quiet time to read a book or crochet and I’m there!
Timon!!! I listen to the Spirit soundtrack about once a week. Here I Am is one of my favorite songs of all time. Such an amazing soundtrack! I’m so glad you’re on this podcast Timon. Truly, you’re the best.
I use TV Time to track what I watch on TV. You can mark movies on it as well.. I definitely agree with Timon, it's fun to see what other friends are watching!
sadly, can't come to Nappanee because it's 13.5 hours from me, it's my niece's confirmation, and I'm taking my daughter to Shrek the Musical Live that weekend :) would love to come to one of these events someday though!! :D
The old person house in Gulf Shores sounds amazing! However, I’m not going on any more Ghostrunners trips until Brad issues a public apology for what he said about tacos and naps recently.
I agree with Brad that moms of a lot of kids are headed to sainthood. I want a big family but I'm overwhelmed with two. Scary to think of adding more. And I can't stand social media moms that appear to do it all. There's no way! I'm actually relieved to hear Kathryn was overwhelmed with each amount. She seems to have it all together from the times she's on and the stories you share. Glad to hear I'm just normal. 🙃
Yes, I agree! That was so refreshing to hear! The social media moms are so lying and just doing it for the likes. We truly don't know what is happening without the camera. I will say that once you pass 2, adding another one strangely gets easier in the sense that they just seem to fit right in with the chaos. Speaking as a mom of 4 myself. And some days are way more chaotic than others, so it's just accepting that it's likely always chaos, but Beautiful chaos that I wouldn't change for the world! ❤
Brad, let's chalk your mishaps up to tired Dad brain! 😅 Also, having 4 kids IS overwhelming at times. Those influencers that make it look like it's not are lying!
I also refuse to comment on those type of Instagram posts! So annoying! Like, just post the recipe 🙄 Yess, Timon, the Spirit soundtrack is awesome! I bought the CD when it came out and would play it on repeat! 😆
37:00 Brad, I want to believe you, but I’m with Timon on this one. I’ve never had a kombucha that didn’t make with want to vom. It’s like opening a container of old watermelon with that nasty, fermented stench. Ack
