@@hl8792 yeah for sure. Two 300lb guys get beat up and lay down until a taxi with a massive trunk arrives. They're then tossed into the abyss of this enormous trunk.... lol
Tell me about it the only other one I heard was the one when he chased 2 guys out and flipped thee car over and got arrested for messing with Andre. Knowing what wrestlers can do but Andre alone why would you want to try them in a bar or anywhere else your gonna get hurt. There like oh it's fake it's all fixed I ca take them than they find out other wise. I found out a guy got into the Undertakers face in Ottawa or Quebec in Canada at a bar I didn't hear how it ended but I don't think the the guy that got in face had a good night. Bottom line don't mess with wrestlers respect them.
Love Jake stories about those old days. That was a new Andre story for me! It's important to remember that to even get into pro wrestling, unless you were family, you often had to go through months of getting physically beat up by your "trainer" before they would start training you. Then factor in that they were throwing themselves on very hard surfaces several times a week. They may not have all been great fighters but they had to be insanely tough.
My man, he's lying and you're a mark for believing him. LOL Easily debunked stories, you really think Andre dumped guys in the trunk of a taxi and dropped them off at the ER? LOL Go outside bro, again: LOL@@mr.brenman2132
I could listen to these stories all day long! Like Jake said, the average person would not want to cross Blackjack or Murdoch in a real fight. Andre just manhandled them! Whew! Plus the Sgt. Slaughter story. I think in his time he would have been another very tough man. Hilarious about the hospital! 😂
The story about Andre runs an interesting parallel to the story about Ernie Ladd throwing the Briscos in the trunk of his car and dumping them at the hospital. It's almost like Jake just took the story about Ernie Ladd and changed the names around.
I wish he'd stick to stories he actually witnessed, and not repeat and embellish stories he heard. For most of these shoots, the stories are 3rd hand and get wilder each retelling.
Gotta love how these guys are so willing to tell stories about each other! Lol. Other athletes like basketball and football players would be suing each other and demanding monetary rights and shit. I have never seen this level of fan interaction with any “real sport”.
Any Real sport fu I'd like to see any of those Hockey or Foot Ball jock dicks get into it with a wrestler. They did invite them to the WWE TOUGH ENOUGH show they could not hack it. Those sport are not as real as they seem there choregraphed what do you think practice is and they have books full of plays. They also flip a coin before a game to see who gets the win the share holders call the shots not the players.
Andre was a legit wrestler = but he's not going to waste time drop kicking you when he can just pick you up with one hand and then throw you out a window. =Don't piss Boss off or his hand will be around your neck quick.
What i want to know how big was that taxi trunk? How in the hell did both of them fit in that truck? 650 lbs. 6 foot 4 plus Andra the giant 450 to 500 pounds sitting in the taxi thats1,100 pounds in the back of the taxi... Just saying....
Truly wonder with all these tales of Andre and Haku, how theyd deal with some of the people today. Like Meng was crazy, but how would he do if he met Jon Jones in a mid-vegas "coke and sandblasting-hookers" binge?
@@frankjaegar1805 fair enough, it was a bad example rather than a direct question though, was more of a generational thing, like Andre was big enough to stop anybody doing what they wanted to him, but his prime days were before there was an MMA gym in every town, and everyone thought bruce lee could legit beat the shit out of anybody.
The size of Andre is definitely worth considering. Although Jon jones is still 6ft 4 and 112kgs so he is still a massive dude he’s almost as big as a Goldberg but he has arguably the greatest hand to hand combat ability of all time.
@@frankjaegar1805 yeah man like I said he was a bad example rather than the singular focus of my comment, someone of relatively larger build who knows how to fight, like how would they deal with him in a street fight, and would it be different than all the stories of him throwing huge dudes through plate glass windows lol, like would Andre be able to do that to Shawn Strickland, who would win a pub brawl between tuivasa and meng etc etc, it was a ponderous statement, in retrospect yeah noone would mess with Jones past or present so yeah it was a terrible example, I cede that point lol

Saturday, 1/2/82 (MACW) Hampton, VA: Hampton Roads Coliseum: The Return Rematch: Sgt Slaughter( NWA Mid-Atlantic Us hw Champion) defeated Blackjack Mulligan.( No Jake The Snake Roberts at this wrestling event.)
Fix my friends & send them back to the bar! Yeah buddy uhhh I doubt they are going back to the bar. They would have been in there for hours or overnight. Maybe Andre would be in that bar for days. Who knows. Some of these stories seem so wild. Even though I'm old enough to remember the early 80s. It's POSSIBLE. We acted out a lot back then. But it's also not possible. 6/10 on the BS meter. I need another witness.
Bro... you know that on RU-vid the title you choose has a big impact on the number of views a video will get. Why would you say Andre and not Andre the Giant??? His name value alone will bring a bunch of people in and thousands of people search Andre the Giant every day, two, three, four, five plus times a day. Take advantage of that! Its like saying Jake instead of Jake the Snake.... no one is searching for just Jake!
Not saying Jake is greatly exaggerating about the Andre and Mulllgan story but it sounds lil far fetched but that’s just my opinion which don’t mean much 😂
Ive heard blackjacks version. He said he jumped andre in hotel room near beach when andre was sitting and knocked him down. He went to ground and pound but andre tgrew him off, beat him up, tgrew him though window. Then dragged him down beach abd chucked him in the tide.
I love the story but we all know it’s not true. You can’t pick up a 300 pound guy by his belt loop (or his pants) they would rip. You can’t throw guys through plate glass without them being shredded and you going to jail. What taxi driver allows people to ride in the trunk? How would 2 guys…both over 300 pounds…fit into the trunk of a car?? Funny story though.
Of all the millions of false " stories " being told by old pro wrestlers on the Internet , non seem faker than the ones Jake tells. He just looks like he's making shit up
Yeah the story I heard was that Andre grabbed Murdoch and Mulligan by the throat, one in each hand, and dragged them down the beach and threw them in the water. I highly doubt that both incidents happened. Who knows what the truth is
story i heard, mulligan was rooming with andre on the road & after lots of beer, slugged andre outta nowhere just to see if he could knock him out. apparently, andre just looked at him & asked why.
...and then the tooth fairy came along and fixed all of mulligan's teeth for him. then they all went to the bar and andre drank 899 beers and beat up 40 guys and none of it ever made it to the newspapers and the police never arrested anybody.
These Andre fight stories are ridiculous. He backed down from Bad News Brown in an hotel lobby and a Japanese wrestler in the ring and they were both half his size. Yes Andre was past his prime by them but if he was such bad ass then either one of those guys shouldn’t have posed a problem. Just because you’re bigger than everyone else doesn’t automatically mean you can kick everyone’s ass.
I owned a promotion here in Calgary The Hybrid Wrestling Coalition (HWC). Allen, who I always admired became my booker, co promoter and, most importantly, good friend. Allen had an amazing, mischievous sense of humor but he was, conversely, a legitimate bad ass. Andre knew this and Andre would have known that if he actually pissed Allen off enough to start a real fight, that Allen would have wiped the floor with him. So, Andre did the smart thing and when Allen gave him the chance to, he apologized and diffused the situation. The alternative would have been to have his ass kicked by a real tough guy.
@@davidwilliamdanielthomas9305I hate to speak ill of the dead but Allen's stories of everyone backing down from him have been disputed by other wrestlers. He kept changing the Andrie story from him doing it on a tour bus to it being back stage, this post says it was a hotel lobby. Again, I don't want to speak ill of the dead so I'll caveat my point with this; almost every shoot interview is exaggerated in their favour. Kevin Nash is another one. Great story teller, never let's the truth get in the way of a good tale. Jake's story here is also a good example of artistic exaggeration.
@@daredevil595 Hi. I worked with Allen everyday, for 4 years in HWC. He told me many, many road stories and, interestingly, the details never drifted or changed. Allen was as straight up as they come. With Andre, the incident started on a bus in Japan when Andre called Allen the N word. This, obviously, did not sit well with Allen. Allen demanded they stop the bus, called Andre out, and went outside to wait for him. Andre skulked out a while alter and sheepishly apologized. Allen and he talked and Andre demured. Later at the hotel, they talked again as Allen wanted it all cleared up and put to bed. This story never changed. Nothing inflated about that or about Allen's rep. Allen won a Bronze Medal in Judo at the 1976 Olympics and is still the only American heavyweight to ever medal at the Olympics. He also won 2 Pan Am Golds. He was the bodyguard for Roberta Flack, among others, and was in some very, very real street fights growlng up. He was a legitimate badass. At the time, I don't think anyone, maybe other than Haku, could have stood toe to toe with Allen. Nonetheless, it seems that you think you know Allen better than I did?
Not a fucking chance 😅 This would be a wrestling match. Andre was too slow to be an effective striker, bad news would easily avoid the hits, and bad news was a Judo player which is all about throws. Bad News couldn't hurt Andre, he simply didn't possess the power to hurt a man that gigantic, and he likewise was too weak to throw him. Andre would grab onto him and crush him. Bad News only out is his obvious cardio advantage.
@@davidwilliamdanielthomas9305 I never met the man... nor did meet the people in his stories who said he was.... I don't want to call him a liar so I'll say he was wrong. So all three of the places he said this happen at are now all the same incident? Look, if you like the guy that's great that you want to justify him and all that. I get that but the fact is in all three locations he said the same story, not a continuation of the same event. I also get why he'd want to seem like the big tough guy as all the older school wrestlers wanted to look like they could "shoot". He said he was promised the WWF title too... not one person as backed that tale up. Regardless, I hope he, Andrie, Piper and all of them are resting in peace. I apologise for taking so long to get back to you as mostly watch YT on my TV so never know if I get a reply.
After seeing exactly how big and how strong Andre Really was, Nobody could beat him one on one without a weapon. And if they Did hurt him, Andre might get angry. Andre really was a gentle giant, but everyone has a breaking point.
I love the story about Blackjack punching Andre while they were playing cribbage. Andre just said "Hohoho, okay boss, we fight now!" and punched Blackjack across the room.
Yeah, it's a nice fantasy but Akira Maeda had no problem kicking his legs until Andre fell to the mat helpless Andre was very lucky as if Kantaro Hoshino had not been there to stop Maeda from doing so he would've busted Andre's arm that he'd already hooked into armbar position The myth of Andre's invincibility died that day in New Japan
WOW!! I've heard some some stories about badass wrestlers, particularly Haku, but apparently... you didn't want to piss in Andre's cheerios , he would definitely cause you to have a bad day.
The bar story is total BS. First of all there is no way Mulligan would fit into the trunk of a car, let alone with Murdoch. They probably had an argument with Andre but nobody got thrown through windows so it is anyone's guess how it turned out. Andre was in pretty bad shape by that time and had limited movement.
I doubt the Blackjack and Andre story went quite the way Jake is telling it. Many versions have been told of that story. Knocking them out, putting them in the boot of the car and bringing them to hospital 😂 Jake makes it sound like an A team episode
I heard Mulligan beat the shit out of Andre in a hotel. He sucker punched him and Andre fell in between the twin beds in the hotel room. Then Mulligan got on top and beat the shit out of him. I don't know if it's true or not but Mulligan was a giant man too.
That was Harley race Mulligan beat i remember Flair telling the story as he was in the room with them, he said Harley was trapped between the beds and couldn't get up.
the kids of today enjoy their cushy cushy million dollar contracts cause these guys gave everything they had to build the foundation without them there is no business
This story is such a lie 😭, Black Jack Mulligan was 6 foot 9 , and Dick Murdoch was 6 foot 3. There is no way to Human Beings fit into the trunk of a sedan which taxis were back in the 70s
What I don't like about slaughter trying to steal Valor I was a navy seabee a great unit there's no record of him in the marines or him fighting in Vietnam and he can't provide any pictures dd214s period as a vet this is a sin be happy with you gimmick
I call BS on this story … Blackjack couldn’t fit in a trunk and with Dick Murdoch at the same time no way . Several stories of Blackjack fighting Andre and it was a draw .
@@arthurmorgan7086 It was used to carry at least 3 adults in the back seat and a lot of luggage. Maybe it had helper springs. Maybe it did ride low. I'm not saying this happened at all, I'm just saying it was physically possible.
I think Jake's stories are pure BS. I've seen all the Blackjack vs Slaughter matches and none have what he described. Also, prime Andre barely could lift scrawny Chuck Wepner and throw him over the top rope, how is he gonna beat two big burly Texans? These guys lie through their teeth
Jake's stories are all just made up. Blackjack and Duck Murdoch together would have smashed Andre. I saw him try to shoot on a Japanese wrestler and get destroyed with leg kicks and amateur wrestling by the guy.
