I really wish Acho were here for this show. Love everyone on the show, but like a month back Joy and Shady jumped on Acho for suggesting (just before the Niner's Thanksgiving game against Seattle) the 49ers might be as good as the Eagles, and they kept holding up the Eagles win/loss record like it was irrefutable truth. Acho got jumped on again a week or two later when he asked if the 49ers could expose the Eagles when they play against each other. Acho has been pretty consistent in seeing that's there's more to how good a team actually is than their current place in the standings, and there were times the others acted like he was downright crazy to suggest that the Eagles might not be the best team in football just because they had the best record. The 49ers proved to be the better team, and their game against the Eagles exposed a lot of the Eagle's weaknesses.

Acho have been one of the only media talking heads speaking up for the Niners. He was seeing it for over a year of the approaching comepuppance of the Niners. Some people who have NEVER played a sport or had a real competiting team who practiced fundamentals, etc are sometimes the hardest teams to beat. They don't even have to look like these "star" athletes. It's really a team checmistry and fundamentals. All these Eagles fans were talking about how they wre 10-1 (best record) as if they didn't understand there were more games to come. Dallas fans steadily comparing every little thing their team do to the Niners like they are on their level. Niners have made it to NFC championships and SB within the last decade even though they didn't bring home the Lombardi. If that is not showing you consistancy and an organization building to win and continue the dynasty legacy among the only teams to have 5 or mor SB's on their belt then their organizations are doing the real work.

U Eagles fans are delusional. The Eagles were done midseason with the 30th ranked defense by barely beating teams. Then they got gifted wins by Dallas and the Chiefs. Then their luck ran out starting with the 9ers. This is not about commitment. Good teams do not lose commitment on the home stretch. This is about the Eagles not being a good team. They are not last year's Eagles. They have the 30th ranked defense now. That defense DOES NOT win playoff games. Stop being delusional. No amount of motivational HURRAH is gonna fix that trash defense. They have to fix it in the offseason with better players.

I'm an Eagles fan and I've been expressing the same frustrations around the house for weeks. Jalen has been bad this season, and right among the turnovers leaders from the beginning. Last year, Dak rightfully faced criticism. He was the weak link for Dallas. The criticism was incessant and pervasive because of the media hyperfocus on Dallas. This year's Eagles aren't nearly as good as last year's Cowboys, so Hurts isn't "the" weak link for us, but he certainly is "a" weak link. He's been atrocious. We all love his will and heart, but where's the criticism due for his poor play? He was still in the top four or five MVP favorites before last night. It's insane. There are lots of guys more deserving. If Dak were having the season Jalen is having, we'd be hearing about this being his final season in Dallas. He just can't get it done, etc... I'm a Jalen fan, but he is not the same player as last year. We Eagles fans have to hope that this year is the aberration rather than last year. I don't think we can expect anything reassuring out of the team this season. The inadequacies run too deep. We'll have to see how everyone adjusts and plays next season.
