Man, this will shows how much work JiYair Brown needs on Zone coverage. He’s letting the TE run wide open

You don't know what his responsibility was on the play. I think the coaches had 0 respect for Hurts to make reads. They did this same thing to Dak.
@kevinha662
@kevinha662 9 месяцев назад
You can see the LBs were passing the receivers to the next level. Specifically, Warner was playing the out/flat. I think they were in Cover 3. If I was JiYair I would sit back the next time we see them and let Warner do his thing in the 2nd level. I agree, we didn’t know his responsibility but it sure looks like he over anticipated

Am I wrong, but if this is Purdy’s tape, talking heads would be roasting him all week. But somehow this guy and others do so on the regular and they’re still considered elite.
@codyjackson245
@codyjackson245 9 месяцев назад
Its not Purdys fault but he often has a guy completely wide open and its also his first read. Shanahan is truly a wizard and the only other team that gets reciever wide open more is Miami. Also a shanahan wizard. You dont even need a great oline if youre getting the ball to a wide open reciever in 2.5 seconds
@terrythegnome2408
@terrythegnome2408 9 месяцев назад
Purdy had the most tight window throws through the first 8 weeks of football. Don't know where he is now but the narrative that his dudes are always wide open simply isn't true statistically. Also its almost never his first read. You just can't tell because he goes through his reads faster than anyone in the league. Watch the tape breakdown. He is often passing on short open receivers to go for the deeper pass. @@codyjackson245
@stephenhawkins555
@stephenhawkins555 9 месяцев назад
@@codyjackson245 Dont get me wrong, Shanahan does get a lot of schemed open guys on short underneath stuff, but a lot of Purdy's highlights are throws to guys that are not the first read, and are thrown with anticipation. Add to that he's playing behind the 22nd ranked pass-blocking OL and you have to appreciate that Purdy is not just being carried by Shanahan and the 49ers playmakers.
@jamesmerkel1932
@jamesmerkel1932 9 месяцев назад
@@codyjackson245you also can't ignore the fact Purdy often makes off script choices and turns them into massive plays more often than not. It's kind of fun watching Shanahans blood pressure visibly rise, but still have a big play happen. Aside from that, there are numerous examples of Purdy dropping dimes to receivers that aren't wide open and still able to make plays because the ball was placed well. You have to admit his accuracy and anticipation is great, especially for how few starts he's actually had compared to the other elite QBs.

Jalen definitely has to make decisions quicker. He has the benefit of being behind the best O line in the league but how much longer can the Eagles sustain this is the question. Their future success heavily depends on how quick he is making reads. He has the talent and physical ability but there is a lot of missed opportunities in every Eagles game this season. Theyre 10-2 and guaranteed playoffs but realistically this team should be 8-4 or 7-5 rn. Have been fortunate other teams dropped the ball.

It seems like Hurts relies more on his athletic playmaking abilities than on getting through his progressions and getting the ball out on time with anticipation and accuracy. Niners pass rush did a good job of keeping him from using his legs to gain yards taking away one of his strengths.

Athletes trying to play QB. They run around blindly until they see someone wearing their jersey color and then try to rifle it in there. That's not good QB play. You may get a couple highlight plays per game but you won't get consistency. I'm not sure Hurts would look like a starting NFL QB if he didn't have a stacked team. Probably closer to Fields than we want to admit.

@@Based_investor Agree. Just play the play. He has a strong and accurate arm. Just throw the ball. O-Line was probably a little frustrated they had to work overtime. He is so used to taking off from a very young age that it's become a hard habit to break. You're down 3 TD's with a few minutes to go in the game and you're taking off on 3rd and long. It's a dangerous play, unnecessary hits, etc... Just throw the damn ball. Wentz was doing a lot of weird things towards the end in Philly. Could this be the same decline? Now everyone thinks Kellen Moore is gonna implement all this motion into their offense. Motion will confuse Hurts more than it will confuse the defense. My hunch is they will use very little motion and if they struggle offensively Kellen Moore will have to answer those questions... why aren't you sing more motion? IMO Sirianni covered for Hurts last year when he was asked about Motion. He gave a strange answer. The fans will know the offense has less to do with the coaching and more to do with the qb. They have the Philly Shove to extend drives and score points or punt further down the field when they do punt. Most teams don't have that luxury. If Philly did not have the shove the offense would look a lot worse.

Hurts isn't anywhere near the QB people pretend he is. The missed reads are insane. The reality in Philly is that offensive line is SO GOOD he can play backyard football holding the ball for 5 seconds until people get open. If the coaching staff can convince him to take his check downs faster and take more of the underneath stuff on 1st and 2nd down we should be good. Hurts is still a good QB. Comments are going a little crazy right now trashing the guy. With that being said, I've never once understood the MVP hype for a guy who just isn't playing hald as good as Dak or Brock, and fully agree that the Eagles are getting a lot of lucky breaks this season (8-1 in one score games isn't realistically sustainable - not impossible, but still not the superbowl winning formula in any case). Lot of concerns about what can happen to Hurts once Kelce retires and once most of the current starpower is no longer in Philly, but that still remains to be seen. Tonight's game might be a bit of a litmus test, considering a two game skid to your best opponents in conference a month before playoff football is a massive red flag - especially after Philly damn near gave their games away to Dallas, KC, and Buffalo as well, who all wound up shooting themselves in the foot instead of taking the killshot.

The issues that the Eagles & Hurts are having ate related to them not imphasising or utilizing the RPOs . The offense is being run by multiple people from the new OC, head Coach, Howie (GM) , Mgmt Analytics up top, etc.. There are multiple cooks in the Kitchen here. Kelce didn't have a good game as well vs. 49ers as well as Hurts had plenty of time pocket to pass. There is no innovation or creativity in this Offense from last year when it was under OC Shane Steichen. @@TylerAvakian Right. Different defense. Not the same one that gave up 38 points in its biggest game last season. Maybe if Mahomes had gotten injured on the opening series of the Super Bowl things would have been different though. Although a lot of people seem to be trying to claim that a healthy quarterback makes no difference at all. The point is, yes when key players who are true difference makers for their teams are unable to play, safe to assume that it's a pretty huge break for their opponent. So yes, we can agree that a healthy elite level tight end is a huge plus and might even alter the course of a game. Granted, this is all ignoring the fact that SF was also playing without All Pro safety Talanoa Hufanga, so maybe we call it even. But this persistent belief that playing with a quarterback who has shown himself to be a consistently high level player as opposed to being forced line up a halfback at the position is somehow not even an admissible topic is ludicrous. Not to even mention that it makes those who insist on it come across as sensitive creatures who can't deal with the obvious reality that they were the recipient of a massive stroke of good fortune, acknowledge that, and happily move on with their lives.

He actively looks for Goedert not Stoll. Obviously, referring to this specific game and what he broke down in the video. He pointed it out multiple times.
@DisappearingNightly
@DisappearingNightly 9 месяцев назад
@@TylerAvakian It's a fair point. And I haven't disagreed with it as your reasoning seems quite sound. I merely pointed out, employing the exact same type of logic you're using, the very plausible idea that the 49ers chances of winning the NFCCG last year went from very good, to very near zero due on an unfortunate injury. You've pointed out that there is strong reason to believe that, because of Hurts' comfort level, trust and chemistry and so on, they may well have exploited some of those opportunities had his tight end been healthy and playing. Seems like a reasonable assertion to me. The 49ers definitely caught a break, and like it or not, breaks do effect outcomes and are definitely part of the game. It always strikes me as interesting that fans will instantly spot breaks that go against their team as being unfortunate and maybe even, and often rightfully, intuitively understand that certain breaks make it virtually impossible for their team to win a given game. Yet they rarely employ that logic to bad breaks that happen to their opponent. It's the reason I responded as I did. A quality tight end who has a good rapport with a QB is a solid thing in football. I suspect deep down you understand that a quality QB who shows uncommon, almost freakish poise in the pocket and has command of his team's offense is an even more valuable commodity than a quality TE because, quarterbacks are kind of a lot more important to a team's success. I think you probably understand that. Yet any hint of the very logical idea that losing such a player and being forced to replace him with a practice squad player or worse yet, a halfback who had never taken a snap in a game before would more or less doom that team's chances is met with a dismissive wave of the hand because, well you just don't like that idea. My point is that saying healthy Dallas Goedert would have gone for 125+ in that game on Sunday is no more or less outlandish than saying that game in January would have been a dogfight, and a game you might very well have lost with a healthy Brock Purdy on the field for the 49ers. Just seems like a double standard, and I merely pointed out, you can't have it both ways. That's all.

@@BenDover-lg4wvSo one game defines hurts okay? Stop saying him and Justin field is alike cuz they’re not and it isn’t close first off. Second Jalen for sure damn well does play with anticipation just had a bad game that’s all. Go watch the bills tape and tell me Jalen played hero ball lol

Any chance you'll cover Goff this week? Watched some great throws during that Saints game. Not sure if there's enough for a video, but still seemed to be a return to form for Goff.

The fact that Hurts or these coaches didn’t think Stoll might not have much attention on him is a problem

As a 49ers fan I see alot that Hurts missed and I know they gonna attack that stuff next time we play and it's gonna be a classic
