I SWEAR I remember hearing the discussion of computers in another episode, but it might be me dedicating all my energy into drawing instead of properly remembering things
I'm VERY lucky to not have ever lost anything. MANY close calls though.. I'm just lucky. now that I'm posting my comic online, I'm going to be backing up all my files to some chip or whatever it's called that I have lying around somewhere each time I finish a new chapter. I don't know if I should have multiple little thingies to back stuff up or what, but yeah. scary.

growing up, going to school (all thru middle-high, happened in 9th) i kept my drawings in a binder. bright green, always kept it in my backpack. when i ended 9th grade my mom threw away my old backpack and all that was inside it. i lost YEARS of drawings, scribble, sketches, just whatever i had come up with (and i was actually proud of a lot of them, finally had nailed perspective despite failing art class). i stopped drawing and havent been able to draw anything without getting acutely frustrated, so ive since moved to 3d art. ive never told therapists or my mom this and idk if i really have the strength to. seems weird (and makes me anxious 2bh) to tell your parents theyre the cause of your decade-long art-block because of a thing they unknowingly did, but ig thats how abusive parents be.
The biggest lost I had was losing all of my original drawings when i was in like middle school. I wanna redraw or look back at my original art style but I really don't have any way to do so
I'm so constantly terrified of losing my hard drives and backups, I make games, so each project can be actually hundreds of hours of work, I'd never recover...
Atm i lost about 8 years of my entire art journey including flipnotes, animations, and my very first digital art pieces from middle school. My computer wont read the shitty hard drive i bought off of Amazon for 50 bucks and now i got to get a professional to restore it if they can. Luckily It’s easy to forget about it nowadays bc my current works are the only things that matter…but boy it sure does hurt knowing my digital past is gone.
when light hits your eyes, your cornea refracts the light inward onto your retina which in turn allows your brain to process the light into an image, some peoples corneas have microscopic bumps or indents which screw up how light is refracted on them. This results in blurry vision since the light being taken in isn't being absorbed equally by your retina Laser eye surgery works by shining a laser onto your cornea smoothing out the layers slowly reshaping it so light properly refracts inwards instead of reflecting off into different directions.

My first drawing tablet was udraw on the wii. I remember going on the neopets chat boards and offering to draw people's pets for free. So somewhere out there is like 4GB worth of dodgy neopets drawings on an SD card I'll never see again.
Dalton, back to the Lasik eye surgery topic, I highly recommend it. I have several relatives and friends who once they had the surgery they no longer need to wear glasses. They did, however, need to wear sunglasses for max of 1 month.
Today has not been great but getting to listen to you to talk about all sorts of random stuff really helped. It's gonna suck when I have to go back out on deployment and won't have you two to help me sleep lol. And yeahh glasses suck, I'm planning on getting PRK, sounds more safe, still scary to think about though.
My earliest animations from when I was like 10 didn’t get saved cause they didn’t get transferred over when I got a new computer. All that's left are two screenshots from this one animation I did. In my second year of college I lost a lot of photos I took on my phone cause it had a faulty SD card and I couldn't just get a new one cause I was broke lol.
ive never lost any data besides one singular time. my phone broke and i only lost my contacts and my number changed. and i lost my contacts just after i got the phone number of a girl i had a crush on at the end of middle school after everyone split into different highschools.

Once I downloaded Medibang paint for android, started a drawing of Midna, the thing is that Medibang auto saves every 5 minutes, so I advanced a lot in my drawing in that time, and it fucking crashed, the worst part is that I got the shading just as I liked it and Lost it all. Anyways I now Use ibis for android which saves every Stroke you make
god its probably dumb as hell to say publicly online, but as a pretty lonely fuck watching this, the line emmy said about how her parents were just impressed watching dalton work was like- OOF. i want to just operate and be appreciated by my partner's close ones. the little mental microcosm image of how that scenario may have played out is the exact feeling i want to live out.
You know i also watched an animation I've been working on for 2 years It was a pilot for a passion project and then it got deleted by The stupid Microsoft OneDrive My soul died
I had a bad hdd back in school that would every now and then get corrupted, and stupidly enough I'd take that and one more and put them in raid0 Well it so happened twice that the days leading up to a big project hand in that the hdd decided to fail and I had to spend the night reinstalling everything and remake the project from scratch
when i was in school months ago, my friend said to me "dude, why's your left eye red??" and i was like "WHAT, wdym??", then i borrow my other friend's mirror and i saw that it was red, i thought i was going to lose my left eye because i immediately call my mom and she said its okay its probably just an eyelash got into your eye, its weird because if it was an eyelash got into my eyes it would hurt but this one isn't hurt at all, next day i woke up it was still red but i dont really care anymore lol.. sorry if my grammar was trash cause i dont live in usa or other country that uses english language :]
Lasik doesn't last forever, and there are chances that you'll be left with your eyes burning intensely... CONSTANTLY. I'd rather wear binoculars or be blind than have constant pain in my eye...
I hate when I'm actively saving my progress on art and clicking the screen once. Just once, is enough for the program to close down as it's saving. I lost progress on my braziliam miku badonkadonk jack'o pose. Byt the new version looks much better at least. Still a WIP. In fact I took so long drawin this that brazil will have lost and won back twitter by the time I'm finished due to that f up
i had a harddrive just cease to exist once basically and i thought i lost hours and hours of game footage i planned to edit, but then one day it came back JUST long enough for me to move it all to an external drive and then it disappeared again. that was kinda weird lol.
