Oak Cliff & South Dallas all day baby, this was and still is one of the hottest jams in the summer of 93'! Greg Street used to mix the hell out of this. I cant believe its been 30yrs since I last heard this.
Thanks to my cousin Daryl for getting the name to this joint. I've been looking for this song for a minute. This was like a Anthem in Philly at every party!
Mike Harold Yessssss I Hv a real True story 4 U.. About 3 days ago in my dream I was in the passager side literally to this song came on and I reach out to turn the radio up to this song the dream reaction was real true to life. When I went 2 sleep that night this beat wasn't on my mind.. Just found out today from a DJ name Art Money from Delaware .. Can't stop playing it over&over😍
Biggup the whole of Philly in the building still rockin to my joint as y'all obviously picked this jewel up that the NYC area was playing with especially waiting yrs to get his album out in '93. KoolDJTheRedAlert must have broke this joint in like '87/88 on a & I came just to hear it hoping that GrandmasterDJ Skratch would throw it on for his show on now Sat night style like Red used to so had to get my fix! Played this joint relentless until the album finally came out! Just heard him say "Bobby" for the 1st time playing around not realizing of course Big Man Bobby Konders produced and had something to do his this pure fiyah. Seen Jamal early '00s in QB park during a Summer set like the ole days. Shit knock heavy, forever as an instant classic. Good Look on the post and wished they used this version in the video.
BRUH!!! I have been looking for this track for literally a decade. I used to bump the hell out this in the 90's! Thanks for posting this and keeping it live.
I remember being in the club back in my high school years and this song would come on....Wrecks n Effect was hot then, House of Pain, fuckin Kriss Kross, Super Cat, Lords of the Underground, Apache, Black Sheep.... Think I might make a mix right now
I was looking for this jawn for years fam. Years! I had told my friend that I was trying to find it and she remembered and post it on my face book page. I started blasting this shit and lost my gottdamn mind! Classic banging house, rap, hip hop, reggae!
This track originally from 1990, Lets Do It In the Dancehall. I got a Stretch Armstrong mix from 1991 where he plays this leading into Spirits by A Tribe Called Quest. I think it was renamed and released as this though
Soooooo hyped to hear this for the first time in years 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥FOREVER🤔I never knew the name 😐at a old school party the other night and I go offfffffff🙃my cousin casually says the name🥴I’ve been playing it on repeat 👏🏽🙌🏽
I been looking for this song for almost 15 years. My cuh a DJ and he used to play this all the time. Never knew the name of the song. I'm hype as shit right now😂💯
This joint definitely is a classic! For the most part, Radio stations are now not even worth listening to nowadays. Joints like this were something you'd make homemade mix tapes out of! Damn near everyone had their pause/record buttons set on many of nights to lace their Maxell, Denon, or TDK's up with hot joints.
I remember when I first bought this record. Love the best it still makes me dance. 🎉😂❤and from Cali! I loved upstairs records they always had the best beats no matter where and I could spend all day there listening to all the singles!!!
Congratulations to the Marley family they're late great father has the number movie at the box office about his life... Get it, Jamaica 🇯🇲 God bless them all daily ❤💛💚❤️💛💚
FINALLY!!! FAAAAAWWWWWK I've been searching for this for so long...crazy, all the people online on music forums I was searching for this song, 98% say they're from Dallas. I remember it from The Royal Rack on Lower Greenville, that reggae pool hall joint. Great times.
@@texansoul78 got! Damn! Right! Dj Al B Bad put this in the mix every weekend!! I was living in Oklahoma at the time. I use to hold my walkman up in the air trying to catch a good radio wave to get a good signal so I could listen to the thunderstorm on 100.3. 😂 I was in highschool then. Now I'm living in Dallas!! 😂 Go figure. I been looking for this song for years..
When I was about to graduate from high school this song hit. Everyday when school let out, this was played going home. Thanks for posting!!! The flip side of the record was dope as well
Dayum!! Me, Gotham, Philly! Back in the day! This jawn right here, followed by Mack Daddy by Bobby Konders, then Gunshot by Kenny Dope!!! Remember that rotation like it was yesterday!!!! I want to go back!!!
I have been looking for this one for years as well. though I was still in school while this track was in rotation, I would get my fill every weekend during the Friday Freeride Traffic Jam, and Thunderstorm, on 100.3 KJMZ. but then I discovered Edgeclub 94 and went all electronica, though I still dig out all my old tapes and listen to the live broadcasts from club midpoint in arlington from time to time. I want two copies of all thost tracks on vinyl!!
Shout out to them folks that was in them dollar parties, The Lumberjack & Club Dances that was jiggin to this Jawn & then go hang out at Club McDonald’s on Broad & Diamond yaamean!?!💎 If you know you know…💯
