Like I said I had never heard of him before I did Monster's reaction and I am so glad someone requested him. He is absolutely amazing and I respect him so much for his service as I do all service and 1st responders. Thanks so very much for watching
There's a story told by James Blunt about how the Russian peacekeepers beat NATO troops to Pristina Airport in Kosovo and the American general leading the NATO forces wanted them to take it from them. According to Blunt, as the Captain on the ground, he refused the order and British General Sir Mike Jackson came on the radio and point blank told his American superior that his troops were not going to start World War III! In the end an agreement was reached with the Russians to share the airport.
James is absolutely a great artist but also a great man.I respect him so much. I will definitely do more of him in the future. Thanks so much for watching and your support
This is about the fourth "reacting to No Bravery" I've been crying through... It's been a favourite song of mine for years, as it ties me back down to reality. I've only served as a conscript, in times of peace. Never seen war. But I have carreer military friends whom never talk about their service. And this song just speaks to me about what they know It's useless to talk to me about... I wasn't there. James Blunt was how ever. And even if I could never truly understand, nor would I want to, "No Bravery" is the best reminder to myself to why I really should want to. The album version on Spotify doesn't start out with that intro, but the intro in the music video makes the song so much more powerful. The young, almost naive Lt. Blunt, about to see something that will change him forever. Now, consider the trenches in Ukraine - with both young Russian and Ukrainians... whom went there with all the bravery their respective heads of state instilled on them. Just imagine everything they'll carry with them after the war ends. Same goes for every armed conflict in every place around the globe. Both now, and in every part of the history of humanity. ...and this song just makes me more aware and awake - and so terribly sad. 😢
I respect every service person wether it be military, police, fireman or EMS. It takes a special person to do what they do. I never served either. I was to young for Vietnam and to old for The Gulf war stuff. Some of my older friends were in Nam and most didn't talk about it. A few do but I can't imagine what they saw. This song like MONSTERS made me cry. Thanks for watching and your great comment. Take care.
This song is a representation of how I feel. Many of us have exchanged bravery for sadness, and continue to do so. No one truly wins a war, regardless of the outcome.
That is so true. The cost of war in lives and destroying families is absolutely horrible. James is fantastic and I really love his voice and talent. Thanks Michael for watching I really appreciate it.
Thank you so much for your reaction. This is a sad song but needs to be seen. 'The greatest' is a more upbeat song he wrote for his children and as the Corona virus hit around the time he was releasing this decided to dedicate to the health service in the uk and donate the proceeds from this song to them.
I will definitely check it out. He is a heck of a man. I really respect him for his service and that is amazing he donated the money to essential workers. Thanks for watching
I served at the same time as James in Kosovo. It was one on the worst deployments, genocide metered out on the civilian population, and we were helpless to stop it, due to the UN mandate of "unless fired upon"
He is absolutely amazing and I just recorded his No Tears video. It should be up in a couple weeks. So far all James songs have been great. Thanks so very much for watching
Thanks Kate for watching I really appreciate it. I was taught as a kid that boys and men don't cry or your a sissy so I didn't. Now I cry like a baby. James is absolutely amazing and most of his songs that I have reacted to have made me cry. Thanks again and take care.
@@katemuse7104 Thanks. I know now it's O.K. to cry 😭 but like I said I wasn't brought up to cry. That's how it was in the old days. Men shook hands they didn't hug like we do now.
Thank you Adam for your service I really appreciate it. James is absolutely amazing and all his songs I have reacted to were fabulous. Thanks again and take care.
This is real footage from Kosovo. The Army and James went there as peace keepers. If you are interested to get to know James better and learn more about his time in the Kosovo - Serbia War in 1999 you will appreciate the small series that was made about James called '' the return to Kosovo '' its 4 episodes. Fun fact the lyrics '' Fathers lost without a trace '' is about a guy he knows and he is his tour guide in the series. He found his father 5 years later through genetic testing (or something like that ). As an Albanian I love seeing reactions to James Blunt and I enjoyed yours a lot thank you.😊
Thanks for watching I really appreciate it. I would be interested in the documentary. I love learning about the artists and bands and their stories. James is absolutely amazing and fabulous and I will do more of him in the future. I'm not sure if you know but I have reacted to about 4 or 5 other James songs and they have all been fantastic. Thanks again and take care.
Thanks Richard for watching I really appreciate it. I really love James and I think he is absolutely amazing but not a big fan of Eddie. Just my opinion which doesn't mean much. Thanks again and take care.
Thanks Kath for watching I really appreciate you. That's a great way to deal with trauma. James is fantastic and fabulous and his voice is unbelievable.

@@boredutopia I love all of James songs and videos as well. I am so sorry for all the pain you have gone through in your life. We in the US are very very lucky to not have to go through what so many other countries have gone through and are going through now. I can not imagine the pain of war and losing your home and country. Please take care of yourself and thanks.
His music is wonderful, but you might also enjoy his twitter game. He got a lot of undeserved hate, and his response was to become a master kudos troll. He is hilarious and not mean. He is best at making fun of himself.
I don't know anything about twitter but I have heard of it. I still have a rotary phone and a flip phone. James is absolutely spectacular and I was really impressed with his talent. Thanks cas for watching I really appreciate it.
Great to see you learning more about James Blunt. He's a legend and his song writing will always have an impact. Here's something of his a bit more cheerful: "Bonfire Heart" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g1j1qwQQ8-Q.html
@@grumpyoldguyreacts I know! Monsters is my favorite song. I cry buckets whenever I hear it - but it is sort of therapeutic at the same time. I'd love to see you react to No Tears as well. It is one of my James Blunt favorites. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SltwLDaGadc.html&ab_channel=JamesBlunt
@@firstinthedance I will definitely do it for you. It's probably going to be 2 or 3 weeks because I record a couple weeks in advance since my son does all the editing and deals with you tube. I'm computer illiterate so I get the videos to him so he has time to edit. Thanks for watching
@@annettelane Thanks Annette . I did react to Bonfire Heart about 6 months ago. I have reacted to at least 6 or 7 of James videos and every one has been great.
