Bond sent in a mission to kill John Wick? That...actually sound like the plot of a movie I would want to watch. And a crossover that would work I think.

The fact that they gave Bond his car and Wick not a dog is just hilarious...

They really missed the opportunity to have John Wick get ran over by Bond’s car like he does in every movie, only to get up and keep fighting.

Biggest disadvantage for Wick is not having decades worth of material to draw from and likely raise his power level.

Honestly, the main disadvantage for Wick here was that he didn't have the motivation he would have if Bond had killed his dog.

Wick canonically died in a duel. Bond canonically died from a nuke.

Bullets may not penetrate Wick's suit, but he would still feel the impact of each round. As he's hit multiple times from the mini-guns, it would be like someone repeatedly hitting him with a baseball bat.

The fact that John Wick is even in the same conversation as James Bond is testament to how good the John Wick movies are.

Okay, but would Bond's gun have really pierced Wick's bulletproof coat like that when the minigun bullets in the car couldn't? That's actually my biggest problem with the fight.

Now, James Bond may face another opponent near equal to himself. Perry the Platypus.

To be fair, that scene of the car going rampant while they fight is a pretty "action movie" thing they'd do.

This fight would have been over so quickly if John just aimed for the head like he always does.

Death Battle missed a huge opportunity to give us a pen vs pen fight from both combatants

Imagine Winston telling James and John to take their fight outside company grounds.

I kinda knew James Bond was going to win, as much I like John Wick. But I knew he was more grounded in realism than James was. At least universe wise.

As someone who's seen most of the Bond filmography, I love how many titles you worked in.

I was snickering during the rundown of each of their abilities, thinking about how funny it would've been; if the second after the announcer said "FIGHT!" The fight animation was just them immediately shooting each other in the face. "Double K.O!" Turns out, despite the extensive list of their skills and gadgets, Wiz concludes that they are in fact: "Not immune to being shot in the face." And would for all intents and purposes, both shoot each other in the face. That would've been such a meme.

Honestly the fact that Bond has far more superior gears and gadgets and Wick still damn near killed him says how badass Wick was

It's insane to think that Keanu Reeves is actually a pretty chill guy when he plays such a cold-blooded killer so well.

I think so far this is the closest to regular humans fighting each other in Death Battle. These two are actually superhuman but not nearly as much as other characters that fought before.

This is one of the only DBs based on weapons, armor and skill and not just who has the bigger numbers

As a huge fan of Death Battle, this is my favourite one. Not only is it super fun and entertaining, but I really love how they show both combatants advantages and disadvantages without going too far either way E.g. they show how Bond absolutely wrecks Wick in ranged combat, and how they are quite close in h2h but Wick is always winning those fights because he is slightly above Bond in that category. I like that Wick's superior endurance is shown through him being able to tank the gadgets for a while, but like they say, he can only take so much I prefer James as a character. I like Wick, but James is just something else to me. However, I wouldn't have even minded if mr Wick won because while Bond is obviously superior in most categories, this fight was extremely fun

Damn that plot armor follows 007 even when he’s not doing any movies.

I always thought James’ superhero-esc style and over the top gadgets would be an unfair match for Wick. A more even fight would be John Wick vs Jason Bourne.

These dudes really just gave bond the win for the catchphrase.

Probably nitpicking here. John Wick has access to a wide variety of guns ranging from assault rifles, sub-machine guns, and automatic shotguns. Yet here he’s armed with an only a pistol and a knife. James Bond on the other hand, gets access plenty of gadgets. Ranging from an exploding pen, remote controlled car with mounted machine guns, and a laser wristwatch. How come Bond gets access to his gadgets, yet John Wick doesn’t get access to most of his guns?

Fun note: Every James Bond, from the first book to the last movie, served in HER MAJESTIES' ROYAL SERVICE. As in, every single James Bond answered to Queen Elizabeth. Every. Single. One.

Yes, I totally see Bond finding out he is tasked with killing the greatest assassin on earth and deciding that he has the best chance of victory by starting with his Walther pointed at a bulletproof suit in melee range.

Barbie vs Gex is another interesting spy pair up. Barbie has a weirdly large amount of abilities thanks to her over 60 game appearances, and Gex is just nostalgic for me. TBH, I'm not sure Gex stands a chance in the matchup, though he has taken on much larger creatures previously... Anyway, love what you guys do and am always excited to see more!

For only having three movies, John went all 12 rounds and had 007 on the ropes. This made me want DB to revisit these characters in future battles with the following matchups: - 007 vs Ethan Hunt (MI6 vs IMF) - John Wick vs Jason Bourne (Pencil vs Pen)

Fight dynamics like this are always among my favorites on this show. John Wick is clearly superior when it comes to hand to hand combat, as he wins the initial clash, overpowers Bond after the cigarette trick, and stabs him during their final knife duel. Bond has to think outside the box and outwit Wick at every turn, like he does with the cigarette, the car, and his laser watch at the end. It’s always so much fun seeing how different fighting styles bounce off of each other, I prefer battles like these over slugging fests

3 small details: The pen clicked 12 times, so it shouldn't have gone off. Why did James' pistol shoot through Wick's coat when the car's chainguns didn't? It's "What goes around comes around", not "What comes around goes around"

this fight was cool, but i think a more appropiate match for John Wick would be against the Agent 47 from Hitman, in a contest between two legendary hitmen who are specialists at using anything in their surroundings as weapons. i wanted to see it for a long time and it would make a awesome episode if ever happens.

They completely failed to mention Bond's inexplicable mastery of car skiing, to the point that he drove a tanker truck on one set of wheels down a road before righting it and crushing another car.

Might have missed something here but how were bonds shots getting through wicks suit armour? the cars were bouncing off and those are defiantly a higher calibre. The ammo they mentioned impacts then splits which is the opposite to the design of AP rounds which want to keep their mass to penetrate, felt like an unfair advantage to me at the end there lol. really loved the video and i agree with the outc come :)

Yeah, the minute you starting pulling up the Brosnan and Moore feats you know this goes toward Bond. I mean, Moore survived a fight with Jaws, who fell 30,000 feet into a circus and the circus is what broke.

While this was a fun match up, I can't be the only person who thinks John Wick vs Jason Bourne would be a much more even match up, right? That would be a sick death battle for sure.

Out of all the Death Battles throughout the history of this channel, this just might be the most equally matched fight of all-time: right between Ryu vs Jin and Boba Fett vs Predator.

Idk this is still debatable. James Bond also has a somewhat unfair advantage given there's dozens of movies to do research on while John Wick is only 4 movies. Also Keanu Reeves actually trained with firearms in real life and handles them in the movies with close to 100% efficiency.

They give Bond the advantage of superior aim. Wick misses 3-4 shots throughout the entirety of his series, and that’s because glass is changing the Trajectory of the bullets, not one other shot misses, even one’s through walls. Bond misses entire magazines regularly in his series.

Battle is already flawed from the start, John Wick would have shot him without asking questions, James wasn’t a former assassin he had ties with nor was he a former friend, he wouldn’t have asked him “what does MI6 want with me?” He would have shot him in the head and went straight to MI6 himself and wiped out their entire organization if he had to

I love how when John ask why MI6 want him dead, James basically says he's too good to be left alive before he becomes their problem, but also says he respects him enough to "catch up" with his reputation.
