The biggest colors that separate us now are green and gold. Greed is laying waste to all our higher aspirations.

Thank you for educating about Mr Brown's estate. Love his music so sad all of his money going to the attorneys. It shows his kind heart.

All I hear is a person wanted to help others and some jerkoffs stole his ability to do so. How can people like that live with themselves?

I was lucky enough to meet Mr.Brown in the 60s when he did a concert at Tulane stadium, in New Orleans. Actually we, along with others sat on stage as it was being set up and had lunch. This man never mentioned anything about race at all. No one did. He acted just like the rest of us. In my opinion, he was just an ordinary guy, and in my book a good man.

Black folk don't go around mentioning race in casual conversation because they don't want to deal with all the white people trying to tell them how wrong they are.

Why? Poor estate planning? This interview never really answered this question, it used a voice of If he were white this may have not happened.

+m ph that wasn't the impression I got from the video, that it would have been different had he been white, if anything it was the opposite, that colour didn't matter. I think it was just a bit of a meandering way to draw attention to the fact that this money is tied up and not doing what it was meant to do. I don't really watch big think for legal updates, so it wasn't very interesting.

Glenn Reed idk about you guys but the impression I got from this video was exactly that, greed, not race

+Joseph Gubbels: Rewatch the last 40 seconds of the video. The speaker mentions The State of South Carolina is not very gentile and kind to the African American way of life, AND this may not have happened if this were Elvis Presley or John Lennon.

m ph I'm not sure how I missed that, but you're right. This is just the classic racial spin big think likes to put on stuff again I guess

The legal system seems to fail continually in the United States; I do not think most of the population could afford most legal representation.

I MET JAMES BROWN 3 TIMES I am from Augusta, aka James Brown city of childhood to death. I am 25, y/o White Male, extremely kind, nice and such. True Southern Shit. Anyway, James Brown would walk around Augusta, nobody would ever fuck with him. I walked up to him and asked him at a grocery store "why are you famous, because your pants?" he laughed. i was about 6. I thought he was a local person, not an international thing. next time i was 11, he came to the fair and I didnt talk to him, but seen him walking about all night in purple heels and leather. 3rd time was when he was at fair the next year. Everyone was singing his mysic and i jumped in and i got to shake his hand. i forgot what we said i got a video of crackheads telling stories of him.

This doesn't even make sense... it's his girlfriend claiming to have became his "wife" right before he died (or something like that) who is suing trying to get all the money, making his estate frozen for the time being (correct me if I'm wrong wrong in this fact). So what does this have to do with him being black? Why does everything, regardless of who is at fault, have to do with racism? If it wasn't for her, the money would have gone to charity as he wished.

I think it would and sometimes does happen with white folk. There was some white playboy model, in the not too distant past... tragic end for her I think somehow, after her extremely rich husband died. Anyway, estate planning there was, I'm guessing much better, lol, but family struggles occurred there as well. I suspect lawyers made a lot of money there as well, but, eventually it was in everyone's interests to get it settled. It is perhaps, more the problem that the money was being 'selflessly donated' to standing is odd, and the lawyer for the money... essentially, for the children... their interests could be somewhat different than normal. I would attempt to attract more attention from lawyers who would accept to be added pro bono... like a very powerful lawyer who obviously does not need the money, explain the situation... and they may be able to help directly or get you someone who can. Most likely the family will get some of the money as well, so be sure to have reasonable goals.

You gotta hand it to the Godfather, he understood race more than any other black..even way more than whites..there is a respect that should be adhered to ..u do not force one race on another.. the liberal jews, take it upon themselves to make this " force" ..but it is such a wrong approach.. races, come together when they are comfortable.. I'm not even talking about race mixing ..just talking about getting along, respecting ..if a white or black boy did something to the other..there own race should be inclined to punish them..this is the way..u see Mr. Brown, left his money to BOTH white and black poor kids ..he was a righteous man ..he was not a racist ..he had more reason to be then ANY of these blacks today..yet he understood the total situation.

Mr. Brown, was not bitter ..although the way some look at it..they are bitter.. but he saw race as it truly is ..he understood that things happen in stages ..he experienced extreme racism yet he wasn't giving up ..why ? because Mr. Brown, experienced profound changes as well ..a weaker man, would've whined, blamed, self destruct.. but he saw reality.. he did not see racist whites..but instead he saw another race, trying in every way to help..he was so strong and so smart..that to the untrained eye.. he may have looked weak ..but he was so far from any weakness ..he was beyond strong ..a true man, and he had the street cred too ..only men, like James Brown, can really change the world ..yes he had his moments that he self destructed ..but he always stepped back stronger ..he saw the real problems..he got attacked and it was vicious ..any man, would've cried racism ..Mr. Brown, saw the enemy ..it was NOT the average white person.. not even whites, who disliked blacks ..he even knew why they felt this way !! and he KNEW they would see the truth ..nobody can hate a hard working, righteous person.. Mr. Brown, saw much hatred in his life ..but he also saw much changes..he knew how to gauge it..this was pure genius.. his mind was so far ahead..people, like him, could only bring civility.. he understood what most do not ..even today ..his talents, was so huge and vast ..he was a truly gifted man

this guys views of race relations in the south are not at all accurate, they seem to reflect what a northern black man would perceive it to be.
