I think the main weird thing with people going after eighteen-year-olds is that we don't look that different from younger teens. I'm eighteen and I get mistaken for a fifteen-year-old (no facial hair rip), basically the only thing that would make us look older than a teen is having crazy facial hair genetics, being tall and makeup (probably some other shit but u get the gist).
