Vikram Oldham Hila is openly a pretty shy, soft spoken, and not exactly in her comfort zone when on camera or the center of attention. Ethan is very aware of this and does his best to make sure her opinions and input gets heard and appreciated. Ethan’s presence is a lot more dominating than Hilas so whenever she does put in an observation or an opinion on something, Ethan makes sure to acknowledge it and reassure her that what she had to say was interesting/relevant/ a good point in general. I think it’s sweet that he does his best to make sure she doesn’t get left in his shadow during these things.

Virginia Lizcano James kinda created that narrative on him tho. Through the posts he made. But I agree predatory is a serious accusation. Describing him as pushy and stupid makes more sense.
I think the whole betrayal aspect came from James saying previous to all this drama that he wouldn't advertise Tati's vitamins because it wouldn't be appropriate for him to do so with such a young audience. When offered something in exchange, he suddenly had no problem advertising her competitor, which is notorious around the internet for not working.
Friend or not business is business. That's the way it is, what I see as an outsider is that Tati wanted advertisement from James Charles, she didn't get it, now she got bitter and made a hit piece. From my point of view, both of them are suspect and horrible people. Both would be willing to back stab each other just to further their agenda. James chose the sugarbear stuff to further his career, Tati made drama to further her career. All this drama from Unregulated vitamins.
This is clearly stated in her video and so many channels talking about this issue don't bring it up. I really feel like it's the one point that explains why she was mad about the vitamins. Because he lied to her.

@@carlangelo653 Tati said she'd give James a sponsorship to promote her brand (and she also mentioned 100k as a number, but maybe not for that case). So if he wanted to further his career, it would have made more sense to go with her, it would have given more than the passes and security were worth. But maybe in the moment, he was just desperate for it and saw it as a higher value. The point is, he isnt principled (he did their brand but not hers when he said it would be irresponsible, especially bad since he said he didnt like the other company in private) and possibly doesnt have his priorities straight (breaking principle, thereby inherently lying to to Tati, who was also a friend... And as she said, al for a good time.). Also, its not their fault the vitamins arent required to be regulated. Even if they went out of their way to have a third party review of them to raise credibility, the two brands likely wouldnt use the same third party and therefore they wouldn't be comparable anyway.

Ashley Motto from what I’ve seen it seems that those outside of the beauty/drama communities keep getting the details mixed up, especially concerning Tati’s video. Like they read a summary of what it’s about or skipped half the video, but the tea channels are on top of it all.

"Spilling the Tea" originated in the Black Drag Queen/gay community. Mostly dealing with gossip and, in contemporary times, it can mean talking about drama. It can also be seen as "T" or "Truth" when speaking about one's own "truth." The phrase/term have been around for a long, long time. Edit: The dinner was at Tati's house.

When Tati launched her product James didn't wanna promote her product to his young viewers but later on as shown promoted a "sleep vitamin" to his young viewers.

I think the main thing that outsiders are missing is that James specially told tati he didn't like sugar bear hair and that everyone who worked with them is a sell out. Tati has never paid anyone to talk about her brand but she offered James charles a paid opportunity to work with her brand. She felt compelled to give this opportunity to him because he was a son her to. Then as Coachella, he completely blind sided her and glossed over the fact he did an ad for her competitor. Hold up, almost no one really cares about the products they advertise. Lets stop pretending. I've heard people talk shit about products and then years, if not months later advertise them as the second coming. She's just throwing in other things to make it seem like she's not wining about her product (which no one forced her to have) isn't being slung for free.
I think the problem is that a lack of integrity arguably doesnt warrant this violent of a backlash, compared to other youtubers who have done objectively worse things. Even taking into account his alleged pressuring of guys and dictating their sexuality, it's not nearly as bad as other people, who got away with it, and even grew during the drama. Pewd's video I think is very level and in the video he states that he isn't defending James but pointing out the problems with Tati's video, which is made even more apparent now. Not to mention Tati just ended some kid's career over what she essentially thought was cooperate betrayal even though James's vitamin video was clearly just an ad for a quick buck, and not something he was going to keep advertising long term.

*It was not even a "quick buck":* James was not paid for the damn sleeping vitamins video, it was him returning courtesy for the company that has provided him with a pass to an event while he was attacked in the waiting space. Also, previously, he has refused to promote beauty pills, not sleeping vitamins, which are actually much more scientific since they contain tryptophan, which is actual sleep precursor.
Tati was caught out for lying about the situation with James. It’s backfired. jeffreestar has also apologised to James since he recently uploaded his " no more lies " video. Tati switched off comments since she was proven to be lying about what happened. Just waiting for her respond.

If those circumstances contribute to a negative perception of her reaction, they need to be accurate.

Krystal D not really. It had been about 2-3 weeks since she did the Instagram story and aside from some inspirational quote about being a good person she really stayed quiet about. After she mentioned that was being demanded about forgiving him she just realized that she wasn’t going to get through to him as decided to disassociate quietly. But after that time the predator allegations came out(which she had warned him about multiple times)along with the tour price outrage(she warned him about being greedy with money) and the meltdown people hide over the Met Gala. There was also a another youtuber that kept dragging on the situation. Also more stuff came out about James lying about the deal to drama channels. So it seems his behavior and other trying to her got to the point that she she couldn’t just stay quiet anymore.
