Here's a little short about James Gandolfini. I wanted to talk about just a few film roles that he had outside of his masterful work on The Sopranos.

It’s a weird feeling to miss somebody that you’ve never met.

Same, I'm a Vietnamese, know about Mr. James Gandolfini throught 'The Mexican' movie and I was interesting with his role. Then I just typed the name of James then realized that he was dead two years ago, my face and my emotion just can't explain but I feel sadly immeadiately... Just in 2018, I was know about The Sopranos and really enjoying this tv-show, threw my die hard habbit 'video-games' into a space to digging The Sopranos until the end. To this day, I still miss and love James Gandolfini but I still not know my why for it. Maybe I liked him because James is a New Jersey but his thoughts and class was crushed me. Sorry if my English is terrible to explain my words, because there is a lot of things I wanna share about James Gandolfini.

Ik what you mean. Ik this sounds kind of unrelated but thats how i felt when nipsey hussle died... yk successful people tell young people a pretty common peice of advice and that's "if you wanna be a millionaire but don't know where to start. A good place would be is to find a millionaire you feel you relate to and jog behind him everyday when he goes jogging" if you know what that means then you know. My point is though... that's usually true except when your 19... and you've been "jogging" to the tune of your favorite millionaire for 5 years and then suddenly you watch him get shot 6 times and kicked in the head in the parking lot of his own establishment...almost made me give up tbh watching the man that gave me hope get murdered. I'm sure thats how alot of people feel about mr gandolfini as well..

Gandolfini performance as Tony Soprano is considered by many as revolutionary and influential, some even saying that Gandolfini was the "Marlon Brando of Television", because like Brando, he redefine the concept of the man in conflict and masculinity, giving a sensibility so real and relatable, just like when Brando did A Streetcar Named Desire and Godfather.

One night in the late 90s my rich roommate ordered hbo.. back then hbo was a luxury. The first thing I watched was the first episode on the first night of sopranos. Just by accident. I watched the whole first season telling everyone I knew how amazing the show was. Before the 2nd season started, I moved to Europe for a year.. when I got back season 3 was had just finished but I didn’t have hbo anymore. I was damn near homeless. I join the air force and left sept 11 2001. The next time I caught up to the sopranos, it was huge, it was the end season 6. And I was in Iraq. I watched the whole season while I was there. And then rewatched it the next time I was sent back to Iraq. My favorite show of all time. The show fell into my lap. And Helped me get through Iraq twice.

Who the F is Chadwick Boseman compared to James Gandofini? Literally a nobody lol
@triplek-dysongamingwithdan7771
@@Luigix99xThat's quite rude. Chadwick Boseman was a talented actor, and while he wasn't on the same level as James Gandolifini he was skilled and did great in his career (not just as Black Panther, too. Even though he was the best thing about the BP movie).

I always loved him in his small but memorable role alongside Denzel Washington and John Goodman in the suspense/horror/thriller "Fallen." He was great in it as an NYC Police Detective.

Did the same thing during lockdown although mine was a re-watch after about a decade. Still one of the best TV shows ever. The magic was always between Jim and Edie though. Their chemistry was spellbindingly good especially the scene where she wants him to leave and he won't

Sopranos will forever be out there as this most unique piece of art television was ever able to create. There will never be the kind oportunities they had in the late nineties before the internet took over, to create characters with so much depth, this kind of long meandering storytelling and even the visual style will forever be unmatched. Sopranos is the one thing i'm trying to stay away from to happily come back to in a couple of decades later, to relive it again.

Man I watch Sopranos clips almost every day and I discover more and more layers within the show. Gandolfinis performance is just on another level, not that the remainder of the cast are slouches either.

I remember that day in June 2013 when I heard he had passed and my stomach actually hurt. Jim is one of those people I considered invincible, he never should have died at 51. A humble, generous, and kind man not to mention an incredible actor. May he RIP.

I'm at the same time as you six months ago. I started watching because it is in the top 10-15 series in every series. So I'm trying to see what it is. And now 2 weeks later I'm after hours with Tony and the others, his family, his crew. Wow. Just wow. This ending was so perfect, this series was so perfect, this character ..... He will be with me for years, maybe forever. Tony-James, cast and mr. David Chase… hats off. Hats off.

Brilliantly done, you really captured James's Gandolfi well. I've watched the Soprano's at least five times, and love it as much or more as the last time I watched it. I watched it live when it was on HBO, I only subscribed to HBO just to watch the Sopranos' and binge watched it again during the Pandemic. Thank you for highlighting the rest of his career, I look forward to looking for and watching his other films. Your right seven years later its still hard to believe he is gone, taken way too early, sad for us, but good for heaven. Talk about star power, his 1999 Chevy Suburban he drove for four seasons of the Sopranos, sold for $110,000... He actually autographed the sun visor, "Take Care of My Car James Gandolfini"...

Watch it again next year. This is the kind of show where subtle hints and Easter eggs are dropped, and you just can't find them on the first viewing. I watched Breaking Bad multiple times as well, and it feels like every time I see it, I notice a new thing. Even with anime, Attack on Titan. There's so many things to discover during a second third or even fourth viewing.
