By the way, I heard that Warner Brothers is leaving Margot Robbie in the role of Harley Quinn (since she started bringing money again) and is not against the return of Idris Elba and Will Smith to their roles.
I have liked James Gunn movies from DC and Marvel, but recently I have seen what type of person he really is: a jerk, a moron, a guy who doesn’t believe half the things he says 1 minute and 5 seconds later changes his mind or just makes up crap. #FireJamesGunn
Who makes up these really cringe and stupid hashtags? For starters, Kathleen Kennedy hasn't even been fired yet, so you're just gonna have to cope harder, chump. 👺✨🗡👺
“I remember at one point the person running Warner Bros. at the time had this release that pitched the next 20 movies over the next 10 years. But none of them had been written yet! It was crazy how much architecture was being built on air…this is not how you build a house.”- David S. Goyer about how the studios pressured him and Zack Snyder to create an entire cinematic universe with only one movie out. It would seem the WB executives have learned absolutely nothing. In fact they seem to be regressing. There's not a single DCU movie out and yet they are already attempting to build an entire foundation based on nothing. And they continue to confuse, annoy, and alienate the fans (i.e paying customers). All I wanted was MOS2 with Henry Cavill directed by Zack Snyder. They couldn't even do that. Why should I as an audience member invest another 10 years into a cinematic universe when WB has made it abundantly clear they have no idea how to create one or how to properly appease their fans or customers?
I was done with gunn when he revealed that all the movies are what he wants them to be and not what the fans want. I dont care about creature commandos. I dont want the authority. I want a solo superman movie without 50 other heros
Well I mean the point of the connected universe is to expand it with more heroes and villains if you want to be comic accurate. Also, plenty of people enjoy the Authority comic and would like to see them on screen but I get your point.
Gunn just wants his superman movie so badly, nothing else matters to him. He'll burn everything around him just to reach that goal and be able to say, "I directed that"🤦🏻
I just realized Vigilante from Peacemaker looks a lot like Corey Cuttingham from Halloween Ends. The glasses, the curly hair, and the creepy smiles he makes. 😱
What movie is that where the dude says “that makes sense”? Also yeah this dudes plan is really dumb. He said they weren’t gonna just reboot but keep the the Suicide squad but we all knew he was gonna do that. Also still no word from him on gal gadot. He was only transparent about henry cavill for some reason.
By the way, I heard that Warner Brothers is leaving Margot Robbie in the role of Harley Quinn (since she started bringing money again) and is not against the return of Idris Elba and Will Smith to their roles.
Superman Legacy if it doesn’t get cancelled is just going to be the Dark Universe situation all over again with it cramming the whole DC universe of characters into the first movie which is SUPPOSED to be a solo Superman movie!
with supergirl being in production before superman releases superman might not end up being the only dcu movie. So the dcu would have that over the dark universe.
In terms of horror genre, remember when franchises got films like Freddy’s Dead and Jaws: The Revenge where they got too stupid and campy garbage. Remember when Busta Rimes karate chopped Michael Myers, or Jason only went to New York for 5 minutes in a 2 hour movie mostly on a cruise. Wow, the Batman & Robin effect is worser than I thought. lol
i had a similar thought some weeks ago. Imagine if they had announced that they were going to launch the MCU and that Nicolas Cage's Ghost Rider was the first character of that universe but the first movie of that Universe would be Iron Man but what would really kick off the universe would be the animated film, Next Avengers... Also, absolutely no studios that tried to build a cinematic universe announced the slate BEFORE the release of the first movie. Marvel announced Iron Man 2 and the slate only AFTER the release of Iron Man. DC announced its slate AFTER Man of Steel. The Monsterverse announced that the end goal was a fight between Godzilla and Kong but only announced the next movie AFTER they saw how the previous one performed. All of these universes were well-received when their slate were revealed. The only one who receives backlash is the one who decided to reveal a whole slate BEFORE even one of these movies was even written and ask us to remain quiet when we have legitimate questions about those so-called films. So, yeah, indeed, it feels forced.
By the way, I heard that Warner Brothers is leaving Margot Robbie in the role of Harley Quinn (since she started bringing money again) and is not against the return of Idris Elba and Will Smith to their roles.
Why doesn’t James Gunn do a full reboot? No previous actors from DCEU continuity returning period! He’s an idiot whose going to cost WB and DC more money lost, and then his job when they fire him! 🤣🙄
Gunns Superman film is concerning. From what I have heard of his movie it sounds very bad. He is doing a younger Superman about late 20 early thirties. Yeah like we haven’t had an abundance of younger Superman 😔. He describes his Superman as a big old galoot. A galoot describes someone that is awkward clumsy and dumb not someone that’s old fashioned🥺🤬. Gunns has a very juvenile and irreverent sense of humor that might work with the quirky characters he is used to but will not fly with Superman. Gunn exceeds with quirky, offbeat characters Superman is not a quirky and offbeat character and if he tries that shit with him it will be over. Gunns movies have a goofy and wack tone with the occasional heartfelt moment that’s fine for GOFTG, TSS and John Cena peacemaker but that shit won’t fly with Superman. Also his movies are ensemble character driven movies that will not work with Superman a Superman movie needs to focus on Superman/Clark and Lois lane anything else is not a true Superman movie which is a problem. Gunns style of directing and storytelling better suits him for Deadpool, Booster gold or a young spider man not a character like Superman. All the characters he is introducing like hawkgirl, metamorpho and guy gardener green lantern has no business in a Superman intro didn’t we got through this with Batman v Superman like have the Same energy you had for Snyder for Gunn. Gunn Superman sounds like a soft soy boy. Gun describes as a galoot that won’t hurt a fly like WTF. It sounds good on the surface but when you go deeper and know what the word galoot actually means combined with knowing how Gunn writes his male lead characters I become frightened for my boy Supes. I fear he won’t be a true man at all he is going to be some soft, awkward, comical effeminate soy boy who going to get ran over by everyone not the Hopeful, heroic, charismatic, optimistic, ultra masculine, virtuous, kind hearted and wholesome hero that we know and love. When you dissect what has come out about Superman legacy’s plot it sounds messy and chaotic asf. I’m really concerned about the movie. Also stop saying Gunn respects Comics his version of GOFTG, peacemaker, Adam warlock and Adrian chase were a complete deviation from their comic book iterations. Lastly let’s Be real the original GOFTG was the only great movie he had everything else GOFTG 3 and peacemaker were good but not Great. The Christmas special ant the sucide squad were okay at best and GOFTG 2 was not good at all. Snyder butchered the characters to particularly Superman but always you took Snyders characters seriously I fear Gunn is gonna turn DC characters into a joke. I fear DC will be the MCU 2.0😳😱😰😥
No bullshit, I'm honestly sick of DC's "Trinity," and THE last thing anyone needs is another goddamn Batman movie, FFS. On the other hand, the Creature Commandos have some real potential as they can be set in the past and don't have to adhere to any timeline and/or continuity in the present. Furthermore, something comic book movies haven't delved into as much is the potential for them being set far back in the past as opposed to current day. The only two comic-book movies I can recall being firmly set in the past are "Captain America: The First Avenger" and the first "Wonder Woman" (2017). Period piece films can totally work and they really haven't been done to death yet. 👺✨🗡👺
Nobody cares about Creatures Commandos outside of the niche CBM. Watch how nobody watches it like Peacemaker only got 600K viewers It’s literally gonna be suicide squad 2.0
I used to enjoy James Gunn’s movies, until I found out he was a 1 trick pony. 🤣 He’s overrated, plus he’s recently proven to be a jerk to people with valid criticisms. I’m not optimistic with his DCU. #FireJamesGunn
Just because he says multiple directors will have control doesn’t mean it’s true nor will they be good either that he picks. Andy Mischette for instance wants to direct Batman after The Flush bombed. 😑
damn, it feels like dc is somehow cursed with these constant failures. snyderverse wasn't perfect, but it was leagues better than the movies we got after his departure. it's sad that when we had him, the fans hated him because superman was too dark, superman and batman kill, batfleck was 'fat', etc. and now everyone realises that snyder's dc era was peak dc. thank god i appreciated his dc movies.
Lucasfilm meanwhile likes to say there is no such thing as good or evil, and Marvel says evil women always have a good reason for being murders of innocent people and men are all evil (if they are straight).
It also wouldn’t make sense for Tom Holland to be the Spider-Man of both the MCU and the Sony Universe. General audiences wouldn’t understand plus even they would find it stupid, plus not to mention Keaton’s vulture getting pulled into Morbius for no god damm reason. Look what happened: Sony themselves even want to pretend Morbius never happened because it bombing twice made them look retarded. I bet they even fired the guy who suggested re releasing that meme of a film due to the memes.
I don’t gave a crap about creature commandos and the authority and other films, I just wanted a Ben affleck’s batman movie, a Cyborg spinoff and a ZSJL sequels man
If only Wes Craven was still with us, he would’ve stopped Scream “5” and “6” from Radio Nonsense and whatever potential bastardization of Nightmare on Elm Street somebody will try to make. 😑 I have concerns for Halloween even with it no longer under Blumhouse, because John Carpentar’s creation being shopped around by Miramax we don’t know who’ll buy the rights from them. There’s rumors that A24 might, but are they big enough to afford it unless it’s a tv series if the rumors are true, and would a tv series be good for Michael Myers?
You want to fix Superman’s character here is how you do it 1. Infuse him with the personality, demeanor, maturity and characterization of the 90s animated series including Justice League. 2. Keep the humanity, flaws, complexity and relatability of Man of steel Superman 3. Infuse with the determination, emotional depth and heroic ideals of All star Superman. 4. Keep the presence, Gravitas and weight the character had in Batman v Superman and ZSJL 5. Bring Henry Cavill and let him run with the character. Let him bring his acting ability, range and natural charm to Superman and Clark 6. Balanced and consistent power level. He should still be extremely powerful the most powerful all around hero on earth as well as the Justice League but not so powerful to where he overshadows the Justice League and limits his storytelling potential in his solo movies because he is too overpowered . Simply don’t make him excessive. 7. Move on n from Chris Reeve Superman. Love Superman 1 and 2 as well as Reeve but that version of Superman doesn’t translate to modern day. This is coming from a hardcore Superman fan. This how you bring him to modern cinema.
Hey Reel Shift! Do you think A24 would do Halloween justice whether a movie or tv show? You planning on making a video on Miramax shopping the franchise rights to license to whatever studio buys them? What I’ll say is I hope to god Paramount doesn’t get them because of the fact they had Radio Silence make those fake Scream “5” and “6” films that are obviously not canon to Scream 1-4 by Wes Craven. Plus, I hope Blumhouse doesn’t renew and buy back Halloween again to continue stomping on its grave. 🤮😑
Great video. I just find it weird that WB /DC put a guy who's movie, The Suicide Squad, flopped big at the box office costing the studio hundreds of millions of dollars and whose other projects, Peacemaker, were met with very lukewarm reception or nobody cared for at all, is put in charge of the DC brand. While the directors/creators such as Snyder, James Wan, David Ayer, Nolan, and Burton who made the studio a ton of money 💰 have their films and visions butchered by WB. Shows how incompetent and stupid this studio is.Keep up the good work, you tell it like it is. #FireGunn #ReleasetheAyercut #RestoretheSnyderverse

Gunn knows most people have given up on the dcu, gunn knows most people have lost all good faith for the dcu. So him trying to tell people his plans as much as possible doesn't seem like a mistake. Trying to show people he hasn't given up, and neither should they. Personally I don't think just because he tweets a lot it means he can't write (pretty much all of his projects were good) But I get it, content is content, good luck with your channel
Scream 1-4 worked, and I don’t consider both Scream (2022) and Scream VI canon. I couldn’t even finish the MTV Scream tv series past Season 2 Episode 3 because it was boring after a mediocre S1, and it was just doing repetitive crap in S2. Scream 1 2 3 & 4 are the only canon Scream installments in my opinion.
Disney and Warner might as well sell or license off their Marvel and DC brands and characters to various studios if they both want to not go bankrupt. Cuz them both continuing to make crappy products that flop isn’t helping. 🫤
