I loved the joke, but I think this is the real punchline.

"Everybody..?" Just Kirk bust's out in laughter, while Lars , who James looks at while saying "There you go! You wanted it..?!", laughs more snarky, then looks at the camera, before looking away and shaking his head. Lars asked for it. Probably several times, before James finally tells it. This fact, along with the "Happy ending" corny joke, seems to be why Kirk's laughing 10X harder than if he just heard the joke, alone..?! Laughter's the best medicine, and Kirk's always been a very Positive person. Great when working for "The James and Lars Band", allowing them to remain Metallica, ever since Dave was booted. I remember when "Kill Em' All" was released, and how psyched we were. We had heard them on a few "Metal Massacre" (?) compilation albums, previously. Kirk was hired 2 weeks before recording "Kill Em' All", had to learn the solos, and it still has Kirk's sound to it, which has been a staple of the band every since. He's extremely underrated as a guitarist. Especially nowadays, with all these kids "Shredding" and being able to learn others stuff, with ease. Not many of these ever create something original with an actual band though (which should be easier, now..?!). Let alone be known for their "sound and style", which Kirk has been, for decades now! KIRK'S THE GLUE/LUBRICANT THAT'S KEPT METALLICA'S ENGINE TOGETHER AND RUNNING AT FULL HORSEPOWER!
