My dad so enjoyed this show. I can remember watching this show with my daddy when I was just a few years old, and Danno was my favorite character, and I love the theme song to this day. James MacArthur passed away a little over a year before my dad passed. I got his Hawaii Five O dvd collection after he passed, and so much more enjoy watching all the episodes, because it brings background a flood of precious memories I had with my daddy watching this classic show. James not only didn't a spectacular job as Danno, but pretty any role he played. I just watched an episode of bonanza that's guest starred in a year or so before Hawaii Five O, and was really good in the role. James was a unique actor and individual, that is hard to find nowadays. He is truly missed by me, and I know by many others. RIP Officer Danny!!
He was a great Danno. He was so much better than the guy that plays Danno on the new show. But the new show is a disaster anyway. James MacArthur brought a quite dignity to the role and was not a loud show-off. R.I.P Danno
Oh my, I didn't know this. James is my very first favorite hollywood actor. May you find rest now my idol. I will never forget the "Hawaii Five-O." Many times, I would sneak and go to my neighbor who has then B/W television, so I can only watch him.
