Some of my earliest TV memories are of watching Hawaii five-o and Jack Lord as Steve Mcgarrett in the early 70s when i was a nipper. Steve Mcgarret was probably my first hero (:
While listening to the radio when I was pregnant, I wondered what name I would choose if I had a girl. Had no ideas until I listened to the song Carrie Anne. I said That’s what I’m gonna name my daughter, I had a girl. And I did! Thanks to The Hollies.
Can someone list the speakers in order. I got Allan Clarke and Graham Nash, but didn't catch the other speakers. I agree Tony should have been here, but he was doing a gig elsewhere, so he's excused. This performance was surprisingly just ok. Not sure we needed Levine and his buddies on stage along for the ride but whatever. Nice to see the brothers Gibb in attendance!
Have just watched this video and it is great The Hollies are in the R &R HOF! Happy to see Allan Clarke and Graham Nash together again, miss Tony Hicks and Bobby Elliott but I have watched the Palladium Concert today also! I was disgusted in Terry Sylvester's dress and behavior dressing like a homeless person instead of dressing up for the occasion wearing a tuxedo and he appeared to be drunk he certainly embarrassed himself on stage his singing was terrible!
Eric Haydock and Rick Harrison were probably the two coolest people ive had the privilege to know ,they didnt give a shit about anything that really wasnt important ,i loved being part of their lives,Rick was my boss and i'd say best boss ever ,i loved him,he was one in a million, sooooooo funny,he was a legend in my eyes,,,Eric the same ,ive never met anyone like him ,he was a 24hour grifter,he loved winding people up and getting free stuff from them but not in a nasty way,i felt he was teaching me and i learnt a lot ,it was a crash course! i loved them both n cant wait to see them again in a few years.......im a lucky chap to have known them xx
i was a little child in 1971, when hawaii five-o aired for the first in italy. i watch on tv and grew up with. I learn to love Hawaii and of course admire Steve Mcgarrett a lot. Think that Mr. Harmon's L.J. Gibbs owes a lot to Steve McGarrett, his sense of justice, care for the victim, empathy and even rigor.
IT'S REALLY SHAMEFUL THE WAY TERRY SYLVESTER WAS TREATED AT THIS ALL IMPORTANT OCASSION. HE WAS A VALUABLE AND TALENTED MEMBER OF THE HOLLIES FOR MANY YEARS, AND WAS ONE OF FABULOUS FIVE.
I've just seen these guys tonight. Still original drummer and guitarist (Tony Hicks). Half empty theatre, sadly. These songs are timeless, try and see them before it's too late.
Heads up . Playback error when Van Zandt is on point on the mic. Twice it froze . Disappointing. Can you please fix it ? Perhaps the first was related to an advertisement ; but I can’t be certain. We all love but hate ads .
That was the worst induction givin I’ve ever heard. It was all about his opinion on the HOF …who cares..you were there to induct the Hollies and you blew it big time. At least I’ll know the next time they ask Steven to induct someone I’ll fast forward thru him speaking….👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
Thank goodness The RnRHOF had the sense to induct The Hollies because there’s so many bands and artist from that time period whom have not been inducted and probably never will be. That’s because the RnRHOF is pitiful and ridiculous inducting so many artist that have no business being in there…
doesnt seem like 2 years since my last comment !! im still missing eric but now my old boss and friend rick harrison has now left us,rick will be missed by his family and friends but im sure he will be welcomed by his good friend eric,i cant imagine the chaos eric and rick will be causing but im sure they will be pleased to see each other again and im sure rick will be getting abused financially by eric as im sure his few year head start has given him a tactical start on rick but to be fair rick is used to that already ...i will miss both of these characters but im glad they are together and i feel sorry for myself when my time comes as i dont stand a chance!! xx
Did not like the music to this video it should have been music from the series but I did enjoy the video tribute to Jack Lord "A Great Actor" Thank You for the enjoyable video!
They really didn`t deserve an induction in The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame, they aren`t Rock And Roll, and they also not sold anything more than just 2 Million records worldwide, look even The Searchers have sold way more albums than them!😂😂😂😂
He wouldn't show up bc of Terry Sylvester... I'm 99 percent sure (they ended their friendship in a bitter way) . At the end it was better as this because Terry Sylvester was drunk on stage and throwing The Hollies dignity (as a band) to waste
