I remember the first time I had a panic attack, I thought the _exact_ same thing. But it was at school, so all I could trust was a supply teacher that I'd never seen in my life.
Yeah I had a panic attack last week. Pain in my shoulder down my left arm and a beating short, I felt dizzy and faint. At first I thought it was a heart attack- then I thought I was having a stroke. The teachers thought I was going to faint because I looked grey/green. It was grim, and worst part was first aid is a pile of shit. Even the teaching staff were complaining about how shit they are.
@@alexthebudgie9071 I hope you're doing okay after that. I get them a lot in school and have a quiet corner that I go to, but the science teachers kick me out even though they see that I literally cannot move/speak/breathe. First aid in schools is generally terrible.
luckily i was at home when i had my first one. it’s super scary because it can legit feel like you’re dying. my mum had suffered from panic attacks in the past so she immediately knew what was going on and was able to calm me down. i think it’s been over 10 years since i had my first panic attack at this point and i’ve learned to manage them as well as recognizing the signs of when they’re about to happen, so i can kinda prevent them and calm myself down now. one thing that my mum told me way back when that really helped me in those first few years was that your body can only physically panic for about 20 minutes before it naturally ebbs out. that’s a good thing to remember and repeat to yourself because it will pass even though it may not feel like it when you’re in the thick of it. also, even though it may feel like you’re dying or having a heart attack or whatever, the absolute worst thing that could happen is that you pass out and in that case your body just automatically calms itself down. i know it fucking sucks, but i promise that things will get better.
I feel for you, James. I have anxiety and panic disorder, when I get panic attacks it really feels like I'm having a heart attack. Then I focus on it more and get more symptoms. There was a time where I went to the ER like 4 or 5 times in a week because of panic attacks. Panic attacks are horrible.
Holy shit. Years before George had it, my brother got glandular fever SO bad, he had water in the brain and they thought he was going to die. I was in yr6 and would ask my auntie everyday if my brother had woken up from the coma he was rushed into. It turns out he’s healthy now but it’s definitely left him with some sort of memory loss :( . George, you’re lucky it only lasted a couple days.
I've had a panic attack so bad I thought i was dying. They're super intense and a lot. I hate how they get dismissed by people. Its reassuring to know what the signs are but they're awful to experience.
They're meant to refer you to ENT if you suffer from it at least 5 times a year (may have changed, so double check). But I demanded mine to be removed when I was 18 as it was affecting my sickness levels at work. I got them removed 3 months later. Just keep going back to the GP, if one refuses, go to another GP.
2 years late and you likely already know. This is for anyone reading this and wondering if Will has a fear of needles, kind of, he has reflex anoxic seizures, so gory stuff can cause him to have a non epeleptic seizure, especially when in places he feels he can't get out of, so I think horror movies at home are fine. At least that was the symptom he had at the Cody Co Show during a circumcision joke, so I think that would logically be why James was getting them to stop talking about needles.
