Even the romanians or Renault don't care that much about the Dacia Sandero as much as James May does. But you got to check out the new model, especially the Sandero Stepway... They're kinda cool at the moment.

Again you dont even see new models and all the features like (Android Auto , dead angle sensors, emergency braking sensor, a 8 inch screen, it even has a SOS button (what will you do if you crash in a used car and you dont have a phone scream for help?) and many many more, its the best deal ever. In his book, 'And on That Bombshell', the script editor revealed that they tried to make the Dacia Sandero the new 'Reasonably Priced Car'. A chap from Dacia had even showcased it to the Top Gear team before the car's launch in Britain. but then the economy tanked and the car's launch was delayed. So they had to find another car.
James would do everything for the Sandero, including when he running as fast as he can to save the Dacia that got hit by truck, Probably the fastest run he ever had in his life.
This running joke was the result of a script writing session (basically the Top Gear team going through car news trying to make each other laugh) James read some dull fact off about a (then) completely irrelevant, unknown cheap foreign car that wasn’t being sold in the UK and Jeremy instantly went “great!” and moved on. And thus a running gag was born. I got this from “and on that bombshell”

Sandero is truly the people's car in 2010s and early 2020s Europe, like VW Beetle was on 1960s in Germany, Fiat 600 was in 1960s Italy or Renault 4 in 1970s France.
🇮🇪 To be honest, when my Suzuki Vitara was totalled 2 years ago my insurance got me a Dacia Sandero as a temporary replacement from a car rental company. I liked that Dacia a lot! 🥰
prononciation of words are not always as you expect. Is not english centred mate. Probably top gear should atleast find out what it is. The right prononciation is the romanian pronounciation. Of course, you in England pronounce it different and is understandable. Just like in Romania Jaguar has a different pronounciation than the one in english but we don. t expect that in the ads for Jaguar we should hear our pronounciation. World doesn. t spin around England. It is permited but doesn t make it correct.

Fun fact about dacia: in some countries Dacia is the exact same brand as renault, so that Pic with the sandero with the result badge, that was probably taken in Colombia.
Atleast get informed if you going to be ignorant. Dacia is the car company. Is collaborating with Renault now sharing everything with it. But is a romanian car manufacters with rich history. In Europe they chosed to use the name Dacia as it was previously known to the market but in other areas is comercialised as Renault simply cause is easier to get it sold like this due to ignorants like you who will not get informed and when they ll see a new brand, they ll not buy it because of that. So yes. The car is of romanian manufacture with a lot of renault tehnology now. It s a collaboration that both parts win. Renault designs cheap affordable cars and Dacia gets Renault lovers and Renault customer base.
it is quite amazing with all this advertising from Top Gear it made the Sandero one of the most popular cars in Europe . Top Gear was so good for Dacia car company
