For those of you who are unfamiliar with it 'Haiku' is a traditional form of Japanese poetry. Haiku poems consist of 3 lines, the first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables, the lines rarely rhyme, but it is allowable.
What better way to begin the onslaught than with James May, the avuncular arm of The Grand Tour and former Top Gear trident? I did a haiku as part of my best man's speech a couple of weeks ago. Obviously they were getting married, but they have a toddler and my friend like lego very much, so this is what I came up with.... Love blooms, in summer, Unifying love to cherish, Child grows with Lego.

For what it's worth, I learnt something today and I have to thank you for that. Also, in this case when James says "haiku" he then might be speaking of the amalgam of japanese 3 verse poetry for simplification. The man is known to be really specific with his words (c.f Oz and James, the mechanic of fluids to get rid of a fly in an old Bentley while driving)
