James Prince, founder of Rap-A-Lot music in Houston talks frank and honestly about the Empire he built. He also addresses recent controversies that have made headlines!
Yeah man I'm proud to call you my Big Hommie put alot of ppls down with the Rap game, I know you had to strong arm sometime the streets will it is what it is but you surivived the game now you on top Hell yeah J man keep doing your thing my Ahyah bless you I-sha!!!
Man that's how you do it! People respect his "gangsta" but what about his business savvy?!?!? M.S.I.. Multiple source Income! Condoms ,music, cattle ranch, real estate, investments!!! Have your money work for you not the other way around!!!True BOSS, young dude from the hood that made something out of himself! Salute to ya J.Prince!
Yeah one thing I learned is the TRUE Gangsters and Mob Figures like Big Meech are the soft spoken voice type of dudes. The dudes who look and act Average... James Prince has that silent killer vibe of him. You see these "real gangsters" being rappers and all acting like they actually sell dope.. Then you got people like him who kind of play both sides on some Gus from Breaking Bad type shit. Not saying James Prince Sells dope or launders money or some shit but there's a certain Vibe from Family men you don't fuck with. It's the type of dudes who smile ear to ear and show you pictures of their kids, laugh at your jokes, but push them a certain way and you end up in a bad situation you can't save or apologize your way out of.
Herb Garcia Minster Louis Farrakhan has that same Gangsta like vibe but he's an Older Muslim man.. However he got that Malcolm X vibe.. Humble and righteous but will fuck you up if you come incorrectly.
+Julian Prince james prince is THE GODFATHER of houston rap. nothing happens in the southern game without getting the "nod" from Prince. He speaks soft but carrys a BIGGG stick
Tint Eastwood I'm born and raised in in North Houston, same as J. still here. My dad was heavy in the Biz and knew J and he shared many stories with me. I'm going to leave it at that. J is definitely a Boss and no matter what his past is, he has an inspiring life story.
Ray Johnson I remember meeting him when I was a intern at def jam in new york. There was a conversation about him getting Steve Frances chain back, he said it was about loyalty. Back in Steve Frances NBA days he held J. Prince down and gave him millions. He never forgot what Steve Frances had done for him.
The thing's he HAS are inspirational, but who he is and how he came to get it are not. He's a sociopathic piece of shit, who's destroyed lives, and is a very part of the system of corruption that's fucking up the black community. He's human like everyone else, and will be brought down when the shit collapses as well.
The Black God Father. He came up with Larry Hoover. Prince don't have to hoot and holla for you to know what's really good for you if you fuck with the family. Or the money. . A real Good dude though. And not to be taken lightly by any means
Ymcmb empire is like 10times bigger and the album sales are like 100 times more than this rap a lot records ...but I agree J prince is definitely a powerful man.
Ninad Ganore no way,you trippin, rap a lot been selling big albums since the 80s, you just know about all the recent mainstream bullshit that cash money is selling now cos ur a 15 year old school girl.
You know I used to respect J Prince until I found out about the stories about him screwing over his artists royalty payments if you don't believe me look at 2 Low,the late DJ Ready Red,etc etc he screwed them over big time.....
Let's no forget about the private jet's......... That was flying coke home to Florida from Colombia when Pablo Escobar was still alive. That's the REAL James Prince. One of the only black men in America who had Escobar on speed dial.
I just googled J Prince's Net worth and it said only 45 Million......Yeah right! His net worth is a lot higher than that! I would guess around 500 million!
Now that’s what I’m talking about. Good interview. Some one positive and making changes. This is respect and admiration. Thanks J P for your standing up for people who are winners.
@@cuppyrobertson7164 even if it was just 11 acres it's his 11 acres, and the only ones worried about it are those with no acres, sad shit, 11 dollars can feel like 1,100 dollars if you don't have shit so I know 1100 can feel like 11000 acres is you started off in the bricks so it's possible that 1,100 can feel like 11,000,000 acres
JoshuaTree people need to know the behind the scenes shit and not just what is shown on fox news. I have heard horror stories about being signed to rap-a-lot. There are plenty of links online of former issues artists have had with him and rap-a-lot. I have a homie that recently signed with them and I told him that was the worst move you could make for your career. Besides, it seems the only people that would get promotion on that label are Bun b, Pimp C (rip) and Scarface (less than ugk though). Look up what happened to Big Mike, 2Low, Dj Ready Red, Yukmouth, the luniz, Bushwick Bill, etc. Its just so much dirt on dude its crazy. He is rich as fuck off his artists blood sweat and tears. He is worse than Suge Knight in my opinion. I would be more afraid of J Prince than Suge. When z-ro is asked about his Rap-a-lot drama, he bounces around the question, and you can kind of sense fear in his tone and the way he stutters when asked about it. There are interviews! SHeesh i can go forever!
dam dude i still dont understand why everyone is so afraid of him for. guess it shows how fake the industry really is. theres no way in hell i would let him punk me. if i have to play dirty then so be it.
+YoungKnoccOut it's not about being scared it's about Respect. That man don't go out his way makin life or death moves for nothing! If he has a problem with someone they obviously stepped out of bounds with him. Whoever disses him might as well commit suicide no bs
Real nice guy-He send some gangsters with baseballbats to Mayweathers gym to bash some heads to make sure he got his 600K for the upcoming fight as Floyds then time manager.
I'm watching the O.G. , J. Prince., & He doing it like he suppose to!, But I think that due to the problems he had with federal agents., and other people in the past ., I think that this is a method to get him targeted by the government some sort of way to bring his earned good life to ruins. It's a vibe that I sense.
He's an intelligent mover and shaker my man probably hired the reporter to paint him out like a saint, good public relations move J , it's like a self funded infomercial , what better way to keep the FEDS off you, GENIUS!!!👍👍
Real life situations make us stronger or break people down. He stood up like a man with a plan! This is a great documentary. I supported his label by buying some of his artist cds. I bought Big Mike, Big Mello 2 tapes and cd,Bushwick Bill first 2 tapes. TMT Too Much Trouble, The Odd Squad,Scarface The Diary etc and the list goes on
