So apart from the fact ‘Laid’ is one of the greatest albums ever made, and marks a vital milestone in my life, this song, this very song is one of the most sublime examples of songwriting and delivery one can imagine. Couple that with the fact James are the very very best example of how a band can exist for over 30 years without looking daft and maintaining absolute integrity and what you have, Ladies and Gentlemen, is among the greatest Bands these shores have ever gifted to the world.
I have tons of shows over the last 35 years. Honestly, James is THE BEST BAND I’ve ever seen. Professional, creative, exceptional lyrics, great voice. Songs that build in the most unique way. Timeless anthems. Always edgy. Great stuff.

Years ago, I was in a “cover” band and when we played this tune at shows, the crowd loved it even though 99% of them had never heard it before. There’s something about some songs that just resonate with the soul.
Awesome performance, excellent musicians, a product of good quality, without autotune or other helping devices that only hide the real talent, like a good red wine, James only get better as time goes by.
Not many bands deliver album after album, stay interesting and sonically still sound so damn relevant- James you are one of the few and one of the best ever!! New album is stunning also!
Anyone who only knows James's music from the 90's go back and check out the late 80's music of Strip mining and Stutter, great songs and so unique at the time. You won't be dissapointed 😂😮😊
Seriously, FU*CKIN SO GOOD, nostalgic and one of my favourite bands ever, i just stumbled across this and it's made my month. The girl is electric, the whole band original or not give me goosebumps
One of the best bands I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot. They finished with this track in Sheffield a few years ago , they walked of stage while the audience sang this back at them. Awesome
theres a few songs on this session... and soemthing that I havent seen commented on yet... yes of course all the songs are great, and some my favourites. But the quality of the preformance and the recording and delivery is outstanding. Well done James and whoever the technical team are and thank you and yes, its all amazing!
