When Pogba put out that "classy" post on the day that Mourinho was sacked of his new brand, and then Mourinho goes on to batter Man Utd 6-1. The irony.

The problem with the modern high profile player is that they are adored by millions of fans through their various social media channels and that feeds into their ego, giving some of them an inflated opinion of how good they are. This false reality they create outside of football to massage their own ego breeds narcissistic traits that can result in the player expecting preferential and more indulgent treatment from the manager. Pogba needs to show some humility, get his head down and become a team player regardless of who the manager is. If he can't be bothered, sell him in January.

This is what divides Cristiano and Lionel from these punks. In spite of being active players with global superstardom and cultural icon status, they show top dog professionalism. I don't know what Pogba thinks of himself to blame a guy like Mourinho. Is he at fault for your shitty first touch?

That's like saying gerrard and lamard wouldn't have been better in a different system playing for England because they were poor for years for England. Managers tactics and systems can bring alot more out of players. He's a box to box best in a 3 man midfield. Playing in a 2 man midfield with a very defensive minded manager even at home is not how you get the best out of this type of player. Gerrard didn't have great defensive discipline at all. His best season came under rada benitez with xabi alonso and mashcerano as holding players, way more quality then what man utd have.

I wasn't a fan when we signed Pogba for a world-record fee 3 years ago but after seeing the likes of Neymar, Mbappe, Coutinho & Dembele go for higher fees, 89 million was probably a fair valuation of the player we were getting at the time. Has Pogba lived up to his price tag yet? Not really, he can be better & needs to work on being more consistent but it's not completely his fault but he needs to shoulder some of the blame. It's not Pogba's fault that Mourinho played him in a 2-man midfield for some parts of last season, limiting his attacking prowess. Another example would be the 1-1 draw against Wolves. Pogba provided a classy cushion assist for United's first goal but with just a 1-0 lead, Fellaini starts the second half further up the field, being used as a target man while Pogba is now used as a CDM. Pogba is right to say United should be attacking at home but he probably shouldn't have done it publicly. But maybe Mourinho and the way he is, is just being stubborn & haven't showed any signs of changing his tactical approach which led to Pogba doing this? Both Mourinho & Pogba are wrong & it's hard to see who's gonna back down first. The board will have to make a decision.

I disagree with Jamie here. Pogba had no problem understanding the game when he won the world cup with France, he was outstanding. And players do get better when Jose leaves. Case in point Hazard. Jose practically turned him into a left back and Hazard was very poor under Jose. Look at Hazard now.

I think a lot of you are missing the point, if Pogba had the right attitude he would try 100% every game nevermind what manager he was playing under. You never saw Lampard or Gerrard sulking just because they didn't like the manager; Gerrard has come out recently saying he didn't like Roy Hodgson's tactics, but it didn't show, he was still consistently excellent. Pogba is a talented but sulky narcissist.

Deschamps perfectly knows how to talk to Paul. Have a good laugh with him but tell him to work hard, nothing comes easy, and that is where Deschamps is a better coach, he understands the new generation of players quite well and he adjusts the 98 mentality to the new one. I think that's where Jose fails.
