Where you been, under a rock?, he has 5 albums, 1994(Peep This), 2005(Unpredictable), 2008(Intuition), 2010(Best Night Of My Life), and 2015( Story of a Dozen Roses).
Not true. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr. could out sing Jamie any day of the week and they would put on a comedy show that would have the audiences rolling under the tables laughing. Look up their Vegas shows from the early ‘60’s.
PurpleRain500 i don’t think Dean and Sammy could as they weren’t “great” singers. More like overall entertainers much like Foxx. Frank definitely could out sing them all but he was also the least comedic.
Eric Lind That’s not true at all. I love Frank to death, don’t get me wrong, but Sammy was vocally superior to Dean and Frank, and Frank would even say that himself.
PurpleRain500 May be but Sammy is never mentioned as an all time great singer. But honestly there were lots of singers that had better tonal qualities than Frank. Tony Bennett for example.
He is not underrated at all. This is an Oscar winner and extremely loved by loads of people. He has paved the way for soooooo many people. Love ❤️ Jamie. Let us all have him in our prayers….
To even think of turning the Brady Bunch intro into a smooth ballad is genius. Jamie Foxx literally made this sound like its own song. Dude is a triple threat. Definitely deserving of his success
There are a lot of a talented people in the world, but I cannot think of anyone that is more THEATRICALLY MULTI-TALENTED than Jamie Foxx. The man is a pro in acting, singing, dancing, comedy, storytelling, impersonations, and piano. He is an entertainment genius.
Funny i went to play it in the car, looked it up on RU-vid and they banned it. I have no clue why either. You can find it sung by many others though just not Prince himself smh
@@josemariareyes3448 I actually found it after i posted that comment lol i just typed it in differently and it popped up. Had to type "adore" first and then Prince and the remastered version popped up. My ears are content hahaha
GODDAMN this man is TALENTED. This singing is POLISHED. But how did he do that while being a great comedian, and a great actor?? And where is he now, gdamn it, we need this right now
You would be shocked at how many actors are also talented singers. I think it's because they probably were all in plays and musicals and that is how they got noticed, or were already successful performers on Broadway ie George Costanza/ Jason Alexander. If you really want to be surprised check out Hugh Jackman singing.
+schmoborama He actually moved to Hollywood to be a singer and comedy was just a side gig. One of the best things I've ever heard is "We are trying to get to the moon, doesn't matter how." I think that describes his scenario perfectly.
schmoborama he went to school on a music scholarship and is classically trained. You should check out the "musical impressions" video on the Jimmy Fallon Show
ThatGirl Shann I know what you mean! I looked up the original after watching this for the first time a while back, expecting it to sound somewhat similar and man, was I disappointed!
May 15th, 2023. Jamies recovering from medical issues. And I came back to remember his greatest moments. Most talented man in Hollywood. Hoping for a full recovery.
Why am I trying to sing like him? 🤦🏾♀️ Watching this like the 10,000th time, but it's just as funny and entertaining as it was the first time I watched it. My all time favorite Jamie Fox performance!!
I was at this show ... After his comedy, he went off stage and then he came up out of the floor sitting at his piano ... I'll never forget it !!!!!! Oaktown -- Oakland, CA !!!
I was laughing like crazy and thought, "My dad would have loved this!" He liked Jamie Foxx and always found him entertaining. We lost him to COVID last March and seeing this makes me happy and sad at the same time.
Jamie Foxx is sooooo talented. I absolutely LOVE him. Lol this was funny too. That Babyface impression was on point, especially Prince. Ha! So underrated man.
🇧🇷 Brazilian fan here... Just know this video/song... It got me to find the original Brady Brunch version to understand all the fun here and I have to say, this was soooo hilariously amazing. JF is incredible.
You know a comedian is funny when they're funny during interviews. Jamie is always funny af during interviews. So talented in so many ways. I'm not saying he's underrated because he is very well known and has a great portfolio, but he definitely deserves all accolades.
Crazy this just popped up on my feed. I bought "I might need security" in the early 2000's when I was in college. Still laughing at this 20 years later.
This has got to be the most creatively, brilliant thing...EVER! No exaggeration! Only Jamie Foxx can be musical, sexy, and funny at the same time. I hope there wasn’t anyone taking the stage after he left, because that’s darn near an impossible act to follow!
His grandmother did such an amazing job raising him, she mush have exposed him to many different environments, that impacted his life & made him so so talented, because that's what he is...Talented.
To be honest she really didn't if I was to agree wit u I'll be calling God a lair but I'm not going to do the god said in da bible it takes a man to raise a child not a women sorry I'm not telling God he wrong
I grow up with him and grandmother knew how talented he was when he was little and she keep him on a path with God first and everything will come together his grandfather died when he was 15 and she raised him to be the man he is today
People don’t realize Jamie foxx was literally the person people went to so they could perform in LA, he hosted big parties and let people like Kanye rap to get his name out there.
