Jamie Soward has lost his cool in Penrith's 26-25 loss to the Sea Eagles. He appealed to referee Matt Cecchin in regards to the time keeper not calling time out after the final try.

He won a premiership and was a first grade five eight for over 200games representing NSW and the Indigenious all stars. Has the most points in a game, in a season and all time for the Dragons. Has the most field goals of any player since 1995. Had dangerous speed, good passing game and pin point kicks. Only thing he ever did wrong is be at the Dragons when Steve Price was the coach, which they still haven't bounced back from today. Then he continued for opportunities moved into and starred in a Panthers system that were in the finals before they had a changing of the guard and age played too large of a factor. Better than mosts careers thats for sure. Other than Wayne Bennett he never was in a stable team with a stable coaching system, otherwise we could had seen even more from him.

@kevin, that's not my claim that's the claim of channel nine. It might be in the top five most watched shows on channel nine but compared to recent years according to the nine network it dropped by 3.5 million viewers.
Still does till this day , it's poxy even after a try is scored whilst a conversion is being attempted the clock keeps on ticking for atleast like 5-10seconds later.
Jamie fuckin Soward. Used to work at a popular night spot in Townsville a couple of years back and Soward comes in one night off his face. Helped himself to drinks behind the bar, annoyed the shit out of our DJ and got in the way of bar staff the whole time. For everyday people that's a guaranteed eviction, but sure enough the owner and venue manager though it was the most hilarious thing ever. And you don't want to know what Cowboys players are allowed to get away with. @@Alekosdw it was a lose carry, those sort of calls are easy for the referees to make. Happens all the time in the nrl. The player was going for a tackle and no intention of stripping motion lost ball full time correct call. Only controversial because it was a high caliber game and a semi final, so there was a lot of emotion. Referees ref without emotion they dont care who wins. Great call by the referee. He backed him self and got it right.
Basically, the time keeper didn't stop the clock when it was necessary. Thus the panthers, who were down by a point missed out on 15 seconds of play at the end of the game. The on field ref was saying there is nothing he can do about it now. Sorry its 11 months on. Just seen this video.
Have never understood why rugby league players seem to get away with going off at Referees like that. You'd be sent off in a Union game irrespective of the level of competition.

And as a ref he can’t control when the clock is stopped if the time keeper doesn’t stop it when he calls for time off. So maybe take the time to understand a situation before espousing stupid comments such as what you just said
Always does my head in when the refs take the moral high ground. It's like in the AFL the umpires can be a smart ass to you all they like but as soon as you say something to them it's a free kick or a 50m penalty. And they wonder why they're the scum of the earth.
Erm no. You have to respect the Referee dude or the game doesn't work. He's in charge and has to have authority and have the word of law. Otherwise you end up with shit like football (soccer)
I don't think I've ever seen a ref be a smart arse. Players on the other hand, are arses whenever a call goes against them no matter how blatantly obvious it is and pretty much every time the ref just has to cop it. The media is the scum of the earth not the ref
