*Maybe women's competition level is lower, as it is in most games/sports. Hard to say where she is within women's foosball, but she definitely looks quite "average" vs many other videos of competitive male players. Control is a bit more crisp and shots are a lot faster in male games.*
Came here after watching some of Kelsey Cook's standup. Wow. I was actually swearing at the screen at missed shots and passes. Deride this as cheesy if you want, it's grabbing! One question though: Of all the sports in the world, how does this REALLY need separate men's and women's divisions? Does GENERAL relative wrist strength makes THAT much a difference? EDIT: OK, after watching more, I can see it.
Its 0315 am in Israel. I seen Kelsey perform in California at Ontario Club last summer. How I got here I will never know, but I know to not waste my time in this game with her.
golf has commentary..... he is aiming at the hole... I think he going to use a putter.... he is using a putter. The grass is green and fast, fast LOL!!
In the show, it's mostly straight and powerful shots and passes because her opponents aren't experienced. Comedy good, playing not so much. Great to see her real capabilities against a skilled player on the same level. I think niche sports benefit from exposure a lot, so would hope it's looked at positively
*Probably meh. It's good entertainment, but the skill level in the game is no good. Is hard to play seriously cause the opponents are just guests who are all beginners.*
To adhere to European league foosbal rules. They took the foos out of foosball. It's like the new kickoffs in the NFL..... don't want to risk a finger accident!
*I don't think women's foosball can compete with men. Snakes are kind of physically demanding too. Most likely too painful for women to consistently train those kind of shots considering they have weaker wrist and softer skin.*
Women's hands aren't as big, making a rollover (aka Snake) harder to get the full revolution. Most women are pull shooters and in particular inside pull shooters. Their arms aren't always long enough to shoot the long hole. Speaking in generalities of course. Cindy Head could stroke a pull better than most men.
Big fan of Kelsey's comedy! On a side note, why is there a separate men's and women's foosball league? Is size and strength really an advantage, or isn't it more about skill and reflexes (which should be pretty even between the sexes)? Just wondering, 'cause I don't see why these women couldn't be competitive with men on a foosball table.
I remember growing up in Vietnam and played this game everyday after school. These ladies are good but I’ve seen many 10 year olds with some serious skill. Fun game
You'd be surprised. Back when I played Liz Hill was always very attractive. A few others who's names I can no longer remember. In the 90s Foosball was pretty solid. It wasn't the 70s, but there were a lot of players.
It’s too hard to determine if a shot is accidental or intentional. Having clean shots only would never work because it would be too easy to lie (which would definitely happen in tournaments). That being said, making a save on an accidental shot is it’s own skill, and top level singles players keep most of the slop out.
You fail to realize that these are deliberate shots on goal from the defensemen and midfielders. These two are very good at foosball, and they much know what they're doing.
There's 3 in the back because the back corners aren't sloped like a European table. I'll take 3 men on the goalie rod over any European table with their uneven playing surfaces, slanted sides, non counter weighted men, and poor player structure any day of the week.
This is so unbelievably slow. I've been playing for 27 years and I've never seen a match so boring. My buddies and I were better than this in high school.
