Jamo's S 808 and S 810 powered subs give you that critical low end every system needs, and they take up very little space compared to typical powered subs.
Jamo S 808 sub: www.crutchfield.com/i-rYTVc2U...
Jamo S 810 sub: www.crutchfield.com/i-rYTVc2U...
If you've got a smaller room, these Jamo subs could be just what you need to add a little "oomph" to your home theater or music system. They're side-firing and blend in with any decor, available in three colors and two sizes, an 8-inch and a 10-inch. The end result is accurate bass that enhances anything you play through it.
An RCA LFE input lets you connect to any receiver, and you can dial in the bass using the crossover, volume, and phase controls. These subs won't rattle the walls, but they do a great job of rounding out the mix.

Agree with Buddy. The S808 was a great compliment to the S809 towers to fill out the sound on my 2.1 audio setup.

Just got the 809 towers a month or so ago and I'm really tempted by the 810 to compliment the setup (also currently just a 2.0 setup, may add the matching center speaker someday if it goes on sale).

Wondering if 2x 8in models in 5.2 surround would be better than 1x 10in model for 5.1 surround? (My Room size isn't huge only 14ft deep but fairly wide (22ft). Any suggestions?

What aspect of bass audio are you trying to maximize? Clarity, fuller sounding, more level playback throughout the room, or perhaps something else?

Thank you, this was helpful. I am looking into getting the s 810 for the Jamo 801 powered monitors bookshelf speakers I am also interested in. I see on your website, as an accessory to the 801 pm you suggest the c910 sw. Which is better for those bookshelf speakers? And does the speaker's remote also control the sw? Alternatively, would you recommend instead the Klipsch R15 powered bookshelf instead and if so with which sw? They booth put out 50 w but I'm not sure what else to consider. Thank you.
@crutchfield
@crutchfield Год назад
We should be listing both of those models and a few other Jamo subs as working with the Jamo 801 powered bookshelf speakers. Both models can work! The C910 has a better frequency range and plays deeper bass while the S810 may be easier to tuck near a wall or something similar. The powered speakers volume control will adjust the subwoofer levels too. So once you dial in the bass to the extra levels you want, the powered speakers volume controls it all

Good Day @@crutchfield Do the Jamo S801PM control the volume up to that of the Jamo C910? Or does it only control the volume of the Jamo S810?. I want to use one of these 2 subwoofers, buying the S801PM but I do not know that these subwoofers eclipse or drown out the mid and high frequencies of the S801PM, and it would be better to purchase the Jamo S 803 obviously with its respective amplifier (an Onkyo TX-8260) so that It was as balanced as possible between maximum possible volume and listening to the music in detail that the WAV PCM 2CH format allows. The source would be an Onkyo DX-C390 CD player (WAV PCM 2CH 192kHz 24bit) via SP/DIF Coaxial. I hope you can answer me. Have a Good Day.

Would the S808 be a good choice to add to my Audioengine A2+'s in a small 15sqm (160 sqft) room? How's the connection compatibility?
@crutchfield
@crutchfield Год назад
This is a great choice of subwoofer to use with those speakers in a room like yours! A subwoofer cable: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/g_20111/Subwoofer-Cables.html and an RCA Y adapter are needed to connect them together: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_979YRA105/item.html

Hi JR and Buddy. I recently bought the S 810 from Crutchfield. I have a question: Can the sub be set to stand sideways, with the the down firing port and the controls facing rear, and the Jamo logo side facing the floor? This would work better for me. Would this cause any adverse effect in its performance? It will be located in a corner. Thanks for your advice.
@crutchfield
@crutchfield 11 месяцев назад
With your description Ricky, it sounds like to me you are attempting to install with the actual subwoofer speaker facing down towards the floor. This will not work, as the speaker needs some room to move. You can lay the Jamo S 810 on its backside with the speaker facing upwards with good results. There is a photo on the website that displays that setup, slipping the sub under the couch. Make sure there is enough room for the speaker, and this will sound great as bass moves out in all directions! I own one of these too, and I think they sound fantastic!
@rickyf243
@rickyf243 11 месяцев назад
Thanks for your reply. Actually, no. The speaker is now facing sideways, with the open port including the controls at the rear. I simply turned the unit 90 degrees to have rear access to the controls without having to lift the unit for adjustments. So far it sounds very good.

Is S808 coupled with Klipsch fives sufficient for a room measuring 21ft*12ft?
@crutchfield
@crutchfield Год назад
It is possible for The Klipsch The Fives and the Jamo S808 to work in a room with those dimensions to make some users happy. Some might still want more. How would you describe the loudest the audio would be played in the room? How high is the ceiling? Is the room pretty reflective (easy to hear an echo)?
@rehansheikh46
@rehansheikh46 Год назад
@@crutchfield The height is approximately 8-9 ft and there's not much echo in the room. I've finally bought s810. Do you know what frequency is ideal for low pass filter while pairing with Klipsch fives?
@crutchfield
@crutchfield Год назад
As long as you are using 50Hz or higher for the LPF frequency on the subwoofer, then it will work with the Klipsch speakers to add bass that the speakers cannot produce. As for the Hz to use, that will vary depending in each persons preferences. We recommend trying different frequencies above 50Hz to see which you like the best

Hi !!! I have two Jamo s801 PM for my photographic studio. Big room, with a medium acoustic treatment. Meters size: 6,5x4,5x3,5(height). But I think I don´t have enough bass power, sometimes. Do you advice me the 808, or do I need the 810? Thanks a lot.

Are you almost able to get the bass you seek; just a little short of the levels you want? Or are you no where close to getting the bass you want?
@giuseppefoto
@giuseppefoto 7 месяцев назад
@@crutchfield I just want to have more punch. Because the 801pm doesn't have a good bass when you pump up the volumen. I like to listen to ambient music moderate volumen and elegant bass sound. Excuse my English.
@crutchfield
@crutchfield 7 месяцев назад
Both the S808 SUB and the S810 SUB will improve the punch of the bass. The S810 will do over a wider range of bass audio since it is able to play down to 36Hz (the S808 plays down to 39Hz).

Hello. I bought the Jamo s810 subwoofer. I’m trying to pair it to the edified R1280DBs shelf speakers. The setup is easy enough, but all I get from the base is white noise, like two wires are touching. It’s just a low hum, regardless of if audio is playing. I toggled and twisted everything I could. I adjusted the plugs. I’m hoping there’s some stupid mistake I’m missing. Any ideas?!
@crutchfield
@crutchfield 7 месяцев назад
You may want to double check the cable connections and also make sure the volume on the Jamo subwoofer is not turned all the way down as that could cause you to hear no bass as well. If you have double checked the cable and this level control and are still having the issue, you may want to contact technical support for troubleshooting to help isolate the issue. If you purchased the sub from us, you can contact our technical support using their toll free phone number found on the order invoice

If this subwoofer is not exactly the best for movies, then why is there only single Line in input? If these are better for music and games shouldn't there be at the very least left and right channel RCA inputs? Would be even better if it had pass through and would handle in itself the cross over. I can't add subwoofer in my studio setup that has only Line in as my DAC doesn't have dedicated subwoofer out.
