Great post, Thomas. It is a shame that Cherry will not show the same respect to her son, Bonbon. One act of respect and submission would solve alot of problems. Momoko is demonstrating ultimate love as a mother by submitting to her son in full view of the other adult leaders.

I believe you are right, Grandma. It was like Max gave Fubuki the branch and said, "Here kid, take this and stop crying. I don't want your sister to get mad"! :)

@@grandmap3389 No. Max didn't bite Fubuki. But what I saw was when Max took Fubuki's branch, he didn't like it and he cried like any small child would n then when Max gave the branch back to Fubuki he stopped crying. But there's something I don't understand is why is Fubuki submitting to Max? Fubuki initially started playing with Max at 4.44 and then suddenly at 4.51, I see Fubuki submitting to Max. Why is that? So after that they both played with Max having Fubuki's leg in his mouth to tickle him.

@@valeriesexton2584 Thanks for explaining this to me cos I didn't understand that action between male chimps. There's one thing I wish to do is to kiss and hug Fubuki. He's so cute.

Kim D I don’t know, but Max has alway been a fit thrower, very anxious and screeches. Seems to be his nature. Someone else may see it differently

Hi, Kim.... Max is "wound tighter" than the rest of the Tama chimps. Like Grandma said, he is very "on edge" and jumpy. On the other hand, Gin has a very cool, confident and relaxed personality. Gin is "Mr. Happy Go Lucky"; always under control. Right now we are seeing Max and Gin at two very different stages in their growth.... Max is beginning to assert his independence and desire to be an alpha. He does not have the physical strength to challenge Bonbon or Decky, but he displays anyway. Gin is VERY intelligent, and knows he must grow a bit more to challenge Bonbon. Whether Gin will challenge his beloved Decky is yet to be determined. Right now, he is completely loyal to Decky. Decky and Peko-san were his stepmother's only companions. You can really see now the difference between how Max and Gin were raised. Max's mother, Marina (mid-ranking female), was born in captivity, and projects almost a male-like persona around the yard. She is tough and direct with other chimps. Max learned this direct, almost forceful approach from her and little about chimp politics. Gin's step mom, Sazae (low-ranking female), was born and raised in the wild. She kept mostly to herself in the yard, but treated and raised Gin like a prince. Gin, as his name implies, mixes with everyone and is very confident. He is athletic, smooth, VERY intelligent and uses chimp politics to his advantage staying just below the surface of the craziness, biding his time. In other words, Sazae clearly passed on "street smarts" to Gin. Max is much more "what you see is what you get".

Hi, Kim. You are very welcome. Gin has always been my favorite, too. There is just something very special about him. It is wonderful that Sazae took him as her own and raised him after his birth mother Peach rejected him at birth.

Hi Derek.... Caramel explains why he uses the background music in the drop down notes section. Also, like Grandma said, some of the music is actually very enjoyable and fits the situation and chimp's personalities! There is one particular piece of music CR3 uses periodically when Fubuki gets into mischief. I refer to it as, "Fubuki's Theme"!

Hi, Paul.... You probably have noticed the periodic voice over the Tama Zoo's public address system. Sometimes specific vendor advertisements or events are broadcasted to the zoo guests, or also messages to the zoo staff. CR3 was likely informed that these announcements are not meant for the worldwide internet audience either by copyrite or other regulation. Therefore, CR3 overdubs music over the announcements. Take care.

Hi, Mary. Yes and No. Please check out CR3's video titled, "Dec. 2018 Tama Zoo Chimps #6.1. In it, you will see that Decky was violently attacked by Bonbon, (prompted by Berry and Cherry). The entire troupe was angered, and subsequently sided with and gave their loyalty to Decky. Even Peko-san directly confronted Bonbon she was so angry at him, and he ran away from her! Therefore, I believe Decky is the respected Alpha. However, he and Bonbon will now never be in the yard at the same time. So, until Gin or Max fill out to the point that they can challenge BB, BB will be Alpha on the days he is in the yard due to his sheer size and strength. Note....while Gin is completely devoted and loyal to Decky, Max is not. He acts very independently, as his frequent displaying has shown. However, he has not, to date, threatened Decky or challenged him.
