I fucking LOVE how she handles herself in interviews, and in this one in particular. She very nicely, politely, and graciously says "let's move the fuck on Matt, I'm not talking about that again". First (and last) time I've seen this clip. What an ass he is lol.
I've seen quite a few of Matt Lauer's interviews and typically he's patient and professional. He seemed a bit anxious and continued to press certain issues that Janet made clear she would no longer discuss. I found his behavior rude, unusual and distracting. His antics read like that of a tabloid nature.
Janet handled Matt's ass like a pro cut him off quickly but was very settled she was straight forward fuck all the haters talking dat shit my my idol she's been in da biz like she's said 20+ baby ya heard her!
Janet is not a sweet, shy, & always nice girl anymore. She handles her business like a boss and she says anything that's on her mind. That's one of the reasons why I love her.

Well, honestly, as much as I appreciated Janet's class, I think Matt was giving her a chance to call out Timberlake for being a weasel....and he was a WEASEL!!! But, yes, I do admire Janet for taking the high road.

I'm sorry, but at the risk of offending some people, I must ask this question...Is there ANYONE in the Jackson family that can answer a question directly, without all of the coy, showbiz "correct" answers? Can any one of them be real? If that family is close as she mentioned, then I'm a creature from outer space. I don't deny the talent of Janet, but I always get the feeling she isn't being entirely honest,or any of the family for that matter.
lloydj74 this is so old even before MJ died but I agree. I'm a fan but their answers are very PC. They share what they want with the public and I have no choice but to respect their privacy
I think they were very shrewd and professional for that. They knew, especially as black Superstars, that people will constantly attempt to denigrate your legacy. They share their art and a small bit of their life, and I think that's wise and sufficient. The rumor mill denigrates public thought anyway.

It's like watching a completely different interview. Matt Lauer was out of line. He flagrantly disregarded cues to move on to the next question and at times was passive-aggressive.
