Just found this. Absolutely love this song and Janet is magic, she brings me back to the Golden Era of American pop music. Thank you, Janet, please keep these great oldies coming. You are a national treasure!

The same here! I just discovered her in a documentary about the great depression : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x6DRBURPlxI.html She is my best youtube find in a long time...

How embarrassed was I when I started describing Janet Klein as a singer from the roaring 20s. I had no idea. She really captured the spirit of that era.

The most (and the most CLEAR) lyrics of this song I have heard, BEAUTIFULLY sung, played and whistled too. "He used to whistle 'The Prisoner's Song'? Of course! I suppose one could Google, but one shouldn't NEED to, SHOULD one?

I'm an aspiring filmmaker and currently making my own web series. But I have a script idea that's set in the 1930's and I recently found your music! It would be cool (if I ever become a director/writer) to use your amazing, fantastical music!

It's such a pleasure coming to RU-vid and finding that you have released not just one but several new videos! And of course, seeing and hearing the incomparable Mr. Reynolds in action is a pleasure unto itself. Ms. Klein, it is perhaps presumptuous of me to think that you view these comments, and even more presumptuous to imagine that a mere whelp such as myself could ever advise you on where to seek pleasure in matters musical, but if you have not yet familiarized yourself with Mr. John Bianchi's version of this delightful ditty, I think you would find it most amusing. Though he explicitly takes inspiration from your live version of this song, available on RU-vid and performed with the same personnel (sans Drunk Canary, naturally), I find that while your rendition sparkles with insouciance, his is as bone-dry (humorously so, I feel I should clarify!) as a fine amontillado, sung in a gentle tenor that reminds me of no one so much as Gene Austin. Truly, Ms. Klein, you are such a great interpreter of this song. Your personality shines through in every word and note, just as it should in the best of jazz!
