So, what is the logic behind her statement? Maybe this is what she is telling us. Buy more expensive green energy products from the USA. Do things that are less effective and efficient as far as the global warming agenda is concerned. Expect EV car delivery in 12 months instead of 6. Let consumers pay the price while letting US producers pocket the fat cheques.

yes, please, all the west, do not buy Chinese cheap products, don't compete with us, the poor global south, we want cheap Chinese products, so less competition, hopefully the prices would not go up and maybe even go down. let us have all the wonderful hi-tech and cheap stuff from China and soon we can be a more advanced, more energy efficient and less polluted country than the west.

Don't worry, make the product in China and repackage it in Vietnam. Then ship it over to USA. Now Vietnam and China will have income. Due to higher costs bcos of repackaging, the items will be able to be sold at a higher price thus allowing USA Government to collect more tax from the consumers... Omfg I really pity USA citizens....

Perhaps Janet Yellen should put more energies into addressing corporate price gouging in the US vs pointing the finger at a foreign country. It's classic US deflection. When US CEOs pay is more than 1460% higher than the lowest paid worker, perhaps it's time to reassess domestic policy.
