Just became 9 years old again. If I could only go back in this time as my adult self and bring my children with me and raise them during this time, they would have had an absolute blast. So many good memories, just watching this, even the commercials brings out the child in me again.
Now these are the sort of shows I remember being on USA when I was little. I definitely remember She-Ra being on USA and Huckleberry hound and Wally Gator, and Fred Flintstone and friends, and Laff a Lympics, and Mr. Magoo, and finally I remember He-Man being on USA and watching it in the afternoons before it was taken off the air.
The In A Minute shorts always reminded me of Nick News With Linda Ellerbee. It was definitely a great time to be a kid back then. Best cartoons, cereal, candy and toys!
Great upload! This was a huge rush of nostalgia. Its amazing how I still can remember each of the songs, and the announcements in the commercials 30 years later! Now if only someone could upload a complete airing of USA Cartoon express WITH commercials!
Just for fun, here's a list of what USA Network was adding to their schedule the first week of 1989: *New shows* Camp Midnite w/Dick Wilson (Premieres Friday nights on January 6; the host's name is the Kansas City DJ; not the Charmin spokesman) USA Up All Night w/Gilbert Gottfried (Premiers Saturday nights on January 7 w/"Cheerleaders Beach Party" and "Stuck on You!" as the first two films) *New pre-existing shows (for the game show block)* "Face the Music" (1980-1981; reruns begin on January 2) "The $100,000 Name That Tune" (1984-1985; reruns begin on January 2) 1986 episodes of "Press Your Luck" (the channel previously aired 1985 shows; beginning January 2, they begin airing 1986 shows, starting with January 6, 1986).
For those who purchased the Sweet Pickles Bus package, the most important lesson they have ever learned from it was that of disappointment. They were expecting the green VW bus loaded up with hippy-looking dressed animals to come to their door, instead, the package was delivered by a brown UPS delivery van.
Thank you so much for uploading this nostalgic trip back to my childhood. USA Cartoon Express was where us thirty somethings nowadays got our first exposure to the HB catalog. And back when USA was an awesome network. Now it just airs SVU ad nauseam along with their original series.
I specifically call when sport Billy was on USA cartoon Express. And not sure the channel but also dukes of hazard cartoon and gilligan's island cartoon about the same time.
What’s the name of the cartoon with the tiny man that rides inside the glove box of cars? Or the one with the magic bow n arrow that appears when he pulls his arm back?
What's the name of that cartoon the guy standing next to Mr T in the thumbnail was called?? I remember it but not the name the power that guy had was cool he could see what would be the best course of action before reacting..
