I looooove when people describe scent profiles who aren’t necessarily the most familiar with scent notes and what defines them. It’s so cute and funny lol. “You’re in a jazz club, there’s cigar smoke in the air… maybe there’s a fireplace in this jazz club.” 😂❤
Ramon! Mix the body oil with a lotion!! My current recommendation is using it with the EOS Vanilla Cashmere body lotion, but any lotion will do honestly (just make sure the smells match). A thicker body lotion will work better with it (you don't want it to be too runny, but maybe I'm just very particular of the viscosity).
You are the first person (besides me lol) talk about FarmStay sunscreen! I've never tried that one, but so many others so would love to see you try another, they're so affordable!
Gold Bond "crepe correcting" formulas seem to be mainly dimethicone & petrolatum, which has actually been a lifesaver thru this winter! Highly recommend for arid, cold weather. Competes with Ole henricksen for me
I use the vasoline gel oil on my feet and then put socks on, baby soft feet! I agree about not putting it on the rest of my body, but on the feet it’s great!
for the vaseline oil, i think you could mix it with their body lotion. i do this is jojoba oil to add a bit of glow and extra moisture and i imagine it could work with their own product 😆
I am.very curious about the VT Cica products....if you get the lower "strengths", will this be something you can use morning and night as a first step after cleansing??
The company says the lowest one is meant for everyday use, But not sure about twice a day! Good question. Maybe start off with once a day too see if your skin can tolerate it well enough.
Ramon! I tried a matte sunscreen today that I think you'd love! It's called me+ mattifying spf 50+ with ceramides. I was looking for something alcohol free without those controversial SPF ingredients (eg homosalate, octocrylene) and stumbled upon this in Superdrug (UK). Tried it today and left my skin super well protected with a genuinely matt finish!

Oooh ok I’ll keep an eye out for that. I like the Me+ line. Those filters aren’t actually bad, though, you’re aware
@ I've only tried their lip balms before and they were all fantastic (argan oil one was my fave!). Hm I thought I remember you saying homosalate was something of an old fashioned SPF? Googling it was a bit scary. But I'm sure you have a more accurate view on the science of it all
I stopped watching his videos for a while and I forgot how much I like 'em. Also, now his boyfriend is his husband, it was indeed a while lol💀💀 congratulations ig 😂🎉
Have you heard about the Torriden sunscreen? It claims to have sun protection for 24 hrs with an 88% retention rate. I've been using it but it just seems too good to be true.
I used to be obsessed with great barrier relief, but when they reformulated (I wanna say 2-3 years ago?) I suddenly was allergic to it! such a bummer. Any idea what ingredient changed? I'm typically not allergic to anything
So Ramon we can use aha/bha in the same routine with retinol or Tretinoin? How many times a week? And then you layer with the Krave great barrier relief. Is that correct?
If your skin can handle it *technically* you can. It really depends on the percentages and your skin’s tolerance. For example you can use a low percentage AHA/BHA toner + moisturizing essence/serum and then later apply your tretinoin gel/cream, but most can’t tolerate using a lactic acid/glycolic acid serum *and then* layering Differin gel on top without some serious dryness and irritation. Personally, my skin doesn’t tolerate them used in the same routine at high concentrations. I’ve seen Derms recommend using adapolene/tretinoin/your retinoid on night 1, using your higher concentration AHA/BHA (serum/treatment) on night 2, and then night 3 just letting your skin recover with a focus on moisture/barrier care or antioxidants-something like bakuchiol or azelaic acid or even a PHA like mandelic acid would pair nicely on night 3 depending on your skin concern. Bakuchiol and azelaic acid have actually been shown to amplify the benefits of retinoids when used in the same routine, and do not irritate/exfoliate the skin the way AHA/BHAs do. Hope that kinda helps? 😅
I either buy product in the US and bring it wherever I travel or brands just send it to me direct. A small privilege of the position I’m in. I remember the founder (whose British) saying they’re trying to get it to the UK soon
For the Vaseline/baby oil trick, I apply it at the end of my shower with the warm water still running so it takes off the excess oil/shine, then pat dry with my towel like normal when I’m out of the shower.
