January Wrap Up and February TBR 

I’m loving our expanse journey - can’t wait for book 4 🤩 Woohoo for finishing War and Peace!! I loved Take My Hand - great book! I’m reading Evelyn Hardcastle in Feb too!

My fav book from Jan was Diary of a Void. I don't make TBRs so I'm not sure about Feb yet! Very exciting that you finished war and peace! That book and Middlemarch are the books that feel like such an accomplishment when I see people read them!

The movie for I'm Thinking of Ending Things is also fantastic (especially after I watched a video explaining scene by scene what I'd just watched, ha.) I love all of Iain Reid's books, his stories are so unique. I really liked A Little Luck, it's written in such an interesting way but yeah, it's a pretty tough read, I'd only read it if you're mentally in a good state. Congratulations on finishing War & Peace! I've started and stopped it so many times, liked the characters and peace scenes, but just couldn't get into the war sections. Reading it along with the Yiyun Li sounds like such a fantastic experience. Looking forward to seeing your review. Favorite books in January were Kala, by Colin Walsh, and The Things We Do to Our Friends, by Heather Darwent. Beautyland, by Marie-Helene Bertino is up next, it looks like it'll be fantastic.

I picked up Foe from the library. I’m a Reid fan for sure!

I need to make progress with acotar as I read the first one in 2022 and my husband bought me a complete set. Now I need to read a detailed recap of the first book! Best book of Jan for me was Heartstopper 5 ❤️ Feb - I've started The North Woods on audio which I was so excited about. I am about 10% in, so am excited to see how it progresses. Massively want to read fourth wing. So many congratulations for finishing War & Peace! 🎉

The Three Body Problem YES! The audio is fantastic! Read the trilogy and couldn’t stop thinking about it. I’ll be re-reading it in like 5 years for sure! So much there!

Take My Hand is a great book. I read it via audio. I started 2024 having got my TBR down to 64. By the end of January it had gone up to 92. This is what happens when you watch best of 2023 videos. Best books in January North Woods by Daniel Mason Falling Animals by Sheila Armstrong Tom Lake by Ann Patchett How To Build A Boat by Elaine Feeney I read these with my ears. Currently reading The Bandit Queens Time Shelter 🍀👋☘️📖📚☕️📕

My favorite book I finished in February was Whalefall by Daniel Kraus. What a propulsive read! I’m surprised there isn’t more buzz about it. I just started Absolution by Alice McDermott and looking forward to reading it.

Loved the reviews!! A Tale for the Time Being is my Jan fave!! For Feb i am really excited to read Death's End, I love the Three body Problem series and I am nervous and ecstatic to read its finale🫠

I can confirm that the audiobook for The Fury was very well done and the way the story was told lent itself well to an audiobook format...but it does not improve the story. I gave it a 2.5 overall.

I am in the exact same spot as you with North Woods. I have no reason to read it (and a lot of reasons to read a lot of other books) but I want to get to it so bad! Three Body Problem is so good - books 2 and 3 are even better.

Getting through acotar is a struggle for me too 😂

I disliked The silent patient so much that it put me off anything he writes. I was intrigued by The fury until I saw the author… 😕
