I've been to nearly all 47 Prefectures in Japan - 40 Prefectures to be exact and you would think the more places I visit the more I should feel how well I know Japan but actually it's the complete opposite.....
The more I visit each location, the more I realised how much more there is left to see and be discovered. Not only is each prefecture different but each city and town has it's own unique culture, history and way of life.
But you know what? I'm a curious person and I love to learn when I travel so this just keeps things more interesting for me and encourages me to dig deeper into the different communities/towns when I travel and immerse myself into their lifestyle.
I hope my "Off the beaten path" adventures also encourage you to be a little more curious and get out there to explore and experience some unexpected adventures :)

I think it is safe to say that all of us are happy to see your Adventure again! Hope you stay safe from Jebi and our wishes go out to Japan on this as well. Honestly feeling the urge to re-visit Japan (especially so after watching your Videos, old ones too while waiting for your new upload), and likely to revisit during Cherry Blossom Season next April. Not sure if I will head for the 'off the beaten paths' as you always encourage, cuz my trip is likely to be short but I will try my best :)

Hi Angela! I really appreciate how you were able to combine sightseeing and featuring the locals so seemlessly. I especially like the part that you were at that coffee shop. Clips like that makes viewers like me appreciate small things that will most probably be unknown to some. Knowing more about the Japanese through stories like these makes us understand more about their culture. I also like the fact that we were able to see more of Japan's country side. Thank you and I hope to see more videos like this soon!

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences in Japan with us. I've watched your videos for some time, and appreciate that you always show us things that are "off the beaten path". I think it's wonderful that you show us Japan's beauty outside of what we commonly see as tourists, which gives us a deeper appreciation and love for Japan and Japanese culture. Please keep doing what you do, even if it takes some time. Your narration along with these beautiful imageries are so therapeutic. You've given me even more reasons to visit Japan in the near future.

Here's a tip when traveling. Remember one thing: despite what you hear, no matter the country, big cities are not the real life. If you want to 'feel' the people from another country, to see the real life, try vising the smaller cities or even visit the country side. it is more difficult because of language barrier and also sometimes it's less safe - so it's better to do it along with a friend, but so much more rewarding when visiting a country. That is were you are going to find friendly people, see real life from close, see amazing nature. Big cities are for the crowds and for the restaurants. Big city means people are less open to talk to strangers, people walk from home to the job and back. I've visited several European capitals and regretted afterwards not going to the smaller cities and to the country side. Country capitals and big cities are always busy, messy, and actually not that fun to live in.
