MikeTheBarber63 lol it’s definitely fun! It’s nice to see them having fun despite it being work and the pandemic and the hot weather. It’s sure helping me keep my spirits up during tough days. 😀
@@itsrainingcatsanddogs2651 Modern science is in agreement that a mask prevents the projection of particles from your mouth, which will reduce the chance of spreading the virus, which is found quite a bit in saliva and mucus!
I love these food tours! They're so helpful when you're trying to plan a trip, but they're also like going on a min-trip from my couch which is really nice during the time of COVID. When it's really hot outside, I barely have any appetite. Thanks for sticking it out and eating a lot on a hot day for us!
I needed to cancel my travel to Japan this year due to the pandemic... it would be my third visit to this wonderful country and people. 🙏🏻Thank sooooo much for bringing us a lovely bit (and bite) of Tokyo in the summer of 2020! ❤️
Love watching Satoshi-san’s reaction when he eats something he enjoys, almost a child like happiness about it, makes me smile every time 😁😁✌️✌️✌️ Stay safe guys
The melon cream soda, the hojicha ice cream, and the soft serve melon pan with matcha ice cream all looked absolutely delicious!!! 🥰🥰🥰 thank you so much for another sweet (...this pun was not intended, but it works! 😎) video, Shinichi and Satoshi!!! ☺👍💙💙💙 ありがとうございました!!!🥰💙
I know we've seen you get melon pan there many times but this time the narrative with local history is really nice touch. I feel your videos are just getting better all the time. Love Tabieats in Asakusa!!! The street food there is awesome. Stay safe and cool.
It’s so strange ,,, I had a dream early this year that I was there,,, on this street but I didn’t know I where I was !!! I never seen this place before but I had a dream I was there on this street eating things !! 🙏🙏
You astral travelled. (Some call it astral projection) It's very common when you sleep and many people are unaware they do it. I saw the streets around my grandma's hospital years before she had her surgery, in a state I'd never been, in a town I'd never been. When we walked down the street I knew it from my dream. I didn't know at the time I was astral travelling.
LaVerne Jones I used to think like that but now I look forward to visit Japan a third time. Please add Japan in your bucket list, you will not regret! Japan will surprise you at every moment of your trip... it’s like that syrup in the bottom of his ice-cream, several times a day! 🥰 Oh, and if you are worried with the language barrier, don’t be. I don’t speak Japanese, they usually don’t speak English, but everything is so well organized and efficient that you will get ahold pretty quickly!
Feeling nostalgic. I visited Japan last summer and for the Tokyo leg, I stayed in Asakusa- just a few steps away from Kaminarimon gate. Every morning, I took selfies in that gate before heading to my other destinations for the day. I hope to be able to return post-pandemic. Keep safe everyone!
I wish we had street food here in Kentucky but there is nothing like that here. Even in a big city like Louisville. I don't count food trucks cause more of them at like big meals but that's the closest we have :(
Yeah the US is dry zone for fun street food 🙁 I think it's because of food laws? We are really missing out. Street food looks like such a nice way to sample good food.
That was so much fun to tag along with you. Too bad it was so unbearably hot. Go home, rehydrate, and take a nice cool shower. Thank-you for sacrificing your comfort and health by going out in that extreme heat.
Thanks for sharing this video-Can you believe it’s been almost been a year since we all were in Asakusa! And it is so empty. Everything looks so yummy especially the kibidango with the kakigori. Mom and I send our love to you both. Be careful in the sun, please!
You guys are always such a pleasure to watch! I am glad you ended early in that heat to take care of yourselves. I have had heat exhaustion more than once and its awful and dangerous.
Shinichi I FEEL YOU on the heat!!! Where im at we've been in the 100s I step outside my front door just to water the plants, or even walking to my air conditioned car I can feel the heat starting to create the sweat!! So walking around would totally get to me as it did you. The food looked amazing 😍
For the shops I'm glad to see it is a little bit busier then before. The kibidango kuromitsu kakigori I would definitely try and the yukimi melon soda definitely has my name on it, though I think I would go for blue hawai version :D Love it that they serve the warabi mochi in a monaka waffer. Condenced milk on warabi mochi, sounds delicious. Perhaps I'm going to try it with regulara warabi mochi. The fresh strawberry looks perfect for hina matsuri. Matcha parfait for me please. I thought it was corn flakes on the bottom of the parfait, but castella is better. Although I don't mind corn flakes. My husband hates it but I love the crunch. The second one with the monaka cracker is cute too. Hojicha is so tasty. Fun that you go to the left at the temple. I usually go to the right hahaha there is a shop there I like and one matcha food store. Always say I'm going to explore the left side as well but never did it yet. We have matcha beer here in a bottle but it is not as bright green as this. I wonder if they mix macha powder with beer. I'm not sure what I think of melon pan with soft serve; I think I would like it better seperately.
Hi Shinichi, hope this isn't a sensitive question. I've noticed you look much younger currently then in your first videos on this channel. Wondering if you've had any work done?
Haha no. There are two reasons. One is that I’ve gained weight. When I’m very thin, my face show more wrinkles. Second reason is that we now know more about proper lighting so that it will make us look better.:) proper lighting can make one look 10 years younger!
Gosh I want to visit Japan SO much!! My nephews lived in Japan for 5 years & often travel back to Japan! Such an interesting culture & way of life!! 💞💟💞💟
Thank you so much for taking on this food tour! It is so relaxing and fun to follow your food adventures. Take care in the heat and stay safe with the virus.
There was something about that melon pan with black sesame ice cream that looked so good to me! Thank you for taking us with you on your sweet street food tour in Asakusa! Stay safe and cool!
I really want to try the ichigo warabimochi, it sounds super refreshing! (There's actually a spot in Seattle that makes warabimochi, Tokara, but usually only in July and in limited quantities.) Though I wish it came with kuromitsu, that would be so tasty!
All the frozen treats! Great watching while I'm having breakfast for dinner! I would totally have kakogori!! Black sugar is my jam! Love the beer too! Satoshi's "Yummy" gives me life! Don't ever change! Love you both! Stay safe AND cool!
I love bokksu! I was subscribed to them but now Japan no longer delover to israel because of covid... 😭😭😭 I made videos unboxing bokksu and trying out the snacks
In this heat, you better stay home. Buy some refreshing and ice cold things from the supermarkt and convenient stores and review them for us at home ^-^ Top 15 of the best refreshments of 2020 or something :D 🖤🖤🖤
I love the informative tidbits you give about the history of the places you visit! Also Satoshi’s accent is sooooo cute and unique and his voice is so calming! Man I love all the food! Wish I was there!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE kinako! Wow...everything looks so yummy The floats are so pretty. I love the colors! Thank you so much for sharing! Look at the strawberry in the dress! I love it, so pretty!
Great idea to chase down some of the tastes from the subscription box! I can have the treats from my box and dream of going to Tokyo! Maybe not in summer, though! 😓
We visited Asakusa in 2015, but we didn't get to try alot of the food on that trip. I need to focus more on food next time and less on the shopping! Love melon float!! Thank you so much for the videos. ❣
I thoroughly enjoy your videos and seeing the delicious foods you enjoy in Japan. Here in the Midwest of USA we have been blessed with cooler temperatures for a couple weeks. But the heat and humidity is coming back this week. Keep sharing your food adventures!
OMG you guys are so cute. My partner Yaya had to go back to Tokyo from Vancouver and she's dying from the heat and she has AC! I think she got too used to the Canadian weather. As soon as I can come, I'm going to visit when this pandemic is over. I miss Koto-ku so much. I want to see the new mall that opened there. So much food and I miss Aeon and oioi. Kaminari in Kanji is how my last name is spelled. Another fave place. Hugs to you guys. You're amazing!
hoping after this pandemic, really really wanna visit Japan... we were already planning going this summer but we can't... hoping soon i can also taste everything you ate guys!!!!! love your vids!!!!
I miss Tokyo so much :( especially Asakusa where I always stay, and miss my daily ritual to buy some delicious snacks in Nakamise Dori shops 😢 thank you for sharing this video. Also, respect for being so responsible 👏
Okay first off, idk what it was about this video that gave it a more comical feel. I found it so entertaining. Between Shinichi or Satoshi whispering behind the camera or Satoshi making sound effects for the bear it was fun to watch. Hmmmm my fav I guess would be the beer and the melon pan ice cream sandwhich. Ugh wish I was there. Great vid guyz
Coming from tropical Singapore, I've never believed the horror of Japanese summer until I was there last August. I can totally get how they can perspire just standing there eating :P
My wife, son and I went to Japan two summers ago. We had the good fortune of having a Japanese friend, who grew up in Tokyo) that lives near us in the States and who helped us with the whole 7 day itinerary. We went to Asakusa as part of the trip. I very much enjoy your channel but I do have one question. Our Japanese friend instructed us to practice saying Asakusa the way Japanese people do. I’m wondering why you don’t pronounce it the way they do in Japan.
I went there last summer! Lovely area, crowded as heck though it was--I even got a picture taken next to that samurai statue in the beginning. Found a nice little conveyor belt sushi joint that was really good, too.Oh, and what song was that playing in the shop y'all were eating melon pan at? It sounds reeeeeaaaally familiar somehow...I do love me some J-pop, I admit it.
I really enjoyed the amazing variety of ice cream treats available in Asakusa. I will go there when it is a little bit cooler. Like you, I cannot handle the intense heat (Here in San Diego, California, it is extremely hot this week, so I suffer with you like a good friend). Thank you!!!
Matcha and barley seem like they'd be a good mix - I'd love to try the matcha beer... and the melon pan with ice cream sounds like the ultimate ice cream sandwich.
I love these Japanese street food your videos 😍😍 omg I wished I was there right now to experience this. That shaved ice looks so refreshing. Everything is wonderful. Hope you’re both well
Everytime i visit Japan, i will definitely patronize the dango shop😊 But during the Autumn season they sell hot amazake which is sooooo delicious with the dango.
It's only been a year but I already miss Asakusa and the abundance of street food stalls they have there! I passed by some of these places but only tried the Ice Cream Melonpan last time😔 Hoping all of this would pass and I can visit again so I can try the places you recommended here... Wishing you health and safety always, Shinichi and Satoshi!
I need you both in my life xD I was planning a trip to Japan for sakura festival 2021 with my lovely mother but civid said hell no you won't go! I watched the bike ride to the park a few hours ago and lived it. Thank you.
