You know I was here when satoshi was so shy in front of the camera because of his english, and we would encourage him that his english was better then he thought. With that being said, how much he has been talking the videos, just makes me so happy! I like yall guys so much!! Stay confident my friends!!
His english is amazing and I really love listening to him. We can really hear how he is trying his best. I can only imagine how hard it is to learn english as a japanese, since I am in the opposite situation just as we speak. ;)
I'm an English speaking American but even I know Satoshi's English has so much more conviction than mine! Everything he says is like an excited poem of love! I just give up...please keep making the movies about the food.
I agree! Love hearing Satoshi speak, he’s gotten way more fluent than he seems to believe. I also love hearing Sinichi speak Japanese...especially with his mother 🥰
It is mind-blowing to see how powerful his English has become and his fluid switch between Japanese to English (and back) while retaining 100% of his personality. He is a very impressive person.
Ooooh more snacks to try in Asakusa! I've got so many to try between your videos and Paolo From Tokyo. Even though my first full day in Tokyo is a Saturday I'm still going to spend most of it in Asakusa eating and wandering and seeing the temple and cherry blossoms. Can't wait! Thank you for all your great recommendations! 😊
So excited for this video! I was in Tokyo a year ago but was on a ton of medications that made it almost impossible to eat, but I'm headed back in less than a month and I plan to EAT EAT EAT!!! I need that strawberry rare cheese cake!
I really like learning from your videos. I like the video content you guys put out, but also as a Japanese language learner, your subtitles are really easy to understand (along with english dialogue) haha.
My son and I are going-coming (??) to Tokyo in the fall of this year. I’ve saved the videos of the places you’ve gone that we’re going to visit. BUT....we are most looking forward to visiting the cold noodle shop you went to with Ai (?), where they make the noodles and dumplings right in the shop!! I’m definitely trying the Korean style cold noodles 🥰 Love you guys & I love Justin 🐶♥️
You could open up an Amazon store and ship products. It would be cool to see a video on the crafts that are sold there. I love the little miniature shops that you can put together.
Thank you to Shinichi for his Melon Pan semi homemade recipe. If it wasn't for that I would not be able to enjoy Melon Pan here in Cali, when I crave it. Love love love Melon Pan!!!!!!!!
OMG! I want to take a bite through my computer screen. That food looked amazing. I would love to visit Japan and try lots of street food, but I want to go with you two so you can interpret for me and show me around. I love watching your videos.
We are going Japan in 3 weeks time, any chance of a video about some vegetarian foods from 7/11? A real lack of good videos for vegetarians visiting Japan on RU-vid!
I hate this channel. They make me want to go to Japan even more so I can try these foods even when I know never will be able to. These are sad times. (I don't actually hate them don't flame me)
I'm right there with you Derpington. have wanted to go to Japan for the last 5 or 6 years. These guys are amazing and totally make me want to go even more.
I honestly thought it would be impossible for me and my family to go but we actually did and it was a dream come true! When you decide to go, you may be able to find a way because it will motivate you to save money. I hope you get to go someday! 🙂
@@justingerbert2395 : I know what you mean, they are like good will ambassadors for Japan. If Japan has a Ministry of Tourism, they should reward these guys for all of the positive buzz they create!
Shinichi and Satoshi do such a good job making it feel like you're traveling along with them experiencing new places and food! Thanks for being awesome! You've inspired us to start our own channel because we're just as obsessed with food. :D
Shinichi is Japanese American and he grew up in Hawaii, he has an American accent and Satoshi is Japanese. Long time viewers of TabiEats encouraged Satoshi to talk more in front of the camera a few years ago to get him more confident with his English speaking, now he's a pro :)
You guys should post locations. Like for example the puffed rice cake place? I had to use street view in Google maps to find it. And I can't find the last place you went to for the hot drinks.
The sukiyaki melon pan sounds almost like a Japanese spin on the doughnut burger. In the U.S. (or at least the part I'm from), Sonic Drive-In used to sell French toast breakfast sandwiches.
Hi Satosh and Sinichi 👋🏼 you know I’m an old time subscriber and love every video you both produce, but your street food ones are my absolute favourite, especially the sweets and desserts ones lol. Oh my gosh how amazing! I need to come to Japan one day for sure. Happy weekend my friends
Gil Asakawa You can do what I did when I was drunk one night in Japan; buy a regular melon pan at a conbin, rip it open in half, then pop a hot, meaty filling of your choice, such as fried chicken, etc.
I love how excited you guys are about food. And I also love how much more confident Satoshi has become over the last few years. And he looks so good with that beard.
This was a fabulous video!!! Everything looked amazing...I could almost smell that ginger tea!!! The surroundings were gorgeous as were both of you!!! Love and hugs!!!
Hi Shinichi and Satoshi! It is so fun to see you trying more delicious street food!! The sukiyaki melon pan was so interesting. I wish I could try the kiritampo soup. I have always wanted to try that. It looks amazing. Thank you for the video!
As I will be staying in Asakusa again on my next visit I am building up quite a collection of your lovely videos for checking out things when I come. At this rate, I won't have time to go anywhere else in Tokyo 😄! I have bought melon bread on every one of my visits in the first shop you filmed ... but the new Strawberry one 🍓!!! Wow. 🍓 A question. What will happen to the shop when it isn't strawberry season? (Of course they could change the fruit, but will they change their name?)
I'm so happy that the old lady who sell melon pan is still there, when I see your new video in Asakusa I was hoping that you two get to her and you actually did! It's been almost a year since I first came to Japan by touring. I remembered coming to Asakusa, bump into her store that sell melon pan, I buy the plan one with 200 yen and it was so good that 30 minutes later, I had to come back and buy another one. What amazed me that even the large amount of custumers come and go, she still remember me, smile so warmly at me and said "oishi denso" and "you must comeback again ok? (in Japanese)" so cute >"< Watching this make me miss her so much, there are a lot of nice people in Japan that I can't forget. Will be back to Japan soon for sure! ^_^
I always stay in Asakusa when in Tokyo, I see it as my second but favorite home, and on my way to Asakusa station pass by these stores in Nakamise dori every morning and even if I had breakfast before- I always have to buy a snack in one of them because everything is tasty 😋 That melon pan store and Ichigo sweets store - are probably on top of my list. Thank you for reminding me of them.
I went to Asakusa in September 2017, I really enjoyed the beautiful temples. Only regret was all of the street food stalls were closed for the day so I didn’t get the full experience here. There where still a lot of souvenir and candy shops open, though I really missed out on the food. I’m looking forward to visit again some day.
Ahhh!! The food looks so good! Also completely random, but my best friend introduced me to your channel. We used to share and discuss your videos together up until she died in a car accident a couple months ago. After she died, I avoided your videos because it reminded me of her, but I realize I gotta keep watching your videos in her honor. Plus I love your channel! Anyway, just wanted to share. Have a great day and keep it up! I'm sure she's still watching your videos in heaven!
You should download Lingo Deer! It's helped me a lot. I can read Japanese pretty well after just a few weeks of good studying, but struggle with Kanji of course haha.
Nakamise Shopping Street (Orange) ... if your mom enjoys listening to enka Japanese CDs, Yorodo has a great selection. Don't think she can get them in Hawaii; very expensive. The shop is located a few doors away from the entrance to the shopping street.
OKASA!!! OKASA!!! OKASA!!! BRING BACK OKASA!! I love you guys but mom is Super Great!!! Make more food with mmmoooooommmmmmmm. Do Desserts! Man satoshi describing the strawberry dessert reminds me of kantaro sweetooth salary man. I LOVE💖💖 KANTARO
