With regard to using Japanese bits is US etc tools Anex have a few products with a 'double groove' ( or sometimes called 'W groove') end. It looks like they may be compatible across all markets. eg. ANEX Hyper Bit Mag Screwdriver Bit Double Groove and ANEX AZM-1100 Bit, Single Headed, Insulated, Supports 1000 V.

I live in Japan and I recently came across these Vessel/Olfa collaboration knives at a local Nishimura Joy Pro hardware store and they caught my attention. I didn't buy one but I was really curious. Maybe I'll pick one up next time I go there.

Can you do a comparison of 1/4 bit ratchets?

KNICKS and many others make special holsters, it seams that its some kind of a Japanese style, and u can get a holster for pen impacts. They make them in EVA in leather and cordura.

I have my eye on some KNICKS stuff. They seem to be one of the better brands in that market segment.

I bet the rings on the vessel bags are for their tethered screwdrivers

Thoughts on more TONE stuff? I see if you have a few things, but you should do a haul. I have many automotive handtools from TONE and I've been impressed with the quality of everything I have.

I like TONE, but I just don't own a lot of that brand...yet!

Yo Bzeug, all I need now is a 100mm or 150mm 1/4" and 5/16" nut driver with a 13 mm Anvil to put in my impact pen drill ?????????? I'd guess between 1/4", 5/16" nut driver and #2 Phillips, -6 Flat blade that's 70% of what us electricians need to. carry around on belt. I haven't seen any yet I've been lightly looking around. I could put the tone adaptors you had on video then the American nut drivers but that would be awful wobbly I would thing

Nice tools and i believe good quality as well. But i also believe that if a product is "made in Japan" doesn't say its always better than American-,German-, or French,Italian made. Yeah..nice packed(if you like that style) and of course marketing. Example; i have a 3/8" Milwaukee impact wrench and (for me) it's way better than the same Makita i have.. Years ago, Milwaukee hadn't a big network here in Holland(Europe), but now they have. Dewalt as well. Love my Milwaukee and i bought it cheaper direct from USA despite the shipping- and import-tax costs(because it came from outside the EU) than from tool-websites here in Holland.. Haha, yeah the Dutch know how to make money ..for so long time Channellock pliers; strong , great! Gearwrench and Tekton ratchets (okay it's made in Taiwan, yeahh, what not?), great as well. I like the look of American ratchets more than like Gedore,Hazet, Stahlwille(German) or Facom(French), that's just my taste.. Some Crafstman sockets; beautiful Snap-On..yeahh the best(i think) but to much if you don't make money with repairing cars. But maybe in the future.. Ohh.. and a Mac Tools swivel 1/2” ratchet; super👍👌, bought it from England, new. Maybe later on an extra long 3/8” or 1/2” flexhead ratchet from Mac Tools or Matco..but pff.. also not cheap😂 Ohh.. sorry for the long, long story😜

Are there any adapters to hold the Japanese 13mm and Japanese Double Head bits in a US hex / E6 / C6
@bzeug
@bzeug 6 месяцев назад
The ENGINEER DR-22 can do it. It is an extension, however.
@bzeug

And I should double check a double ended bit in it before I say that.

Is the verance knifes 18mm or 25mm?
@lesslighter
@lesslighter 6 месяцев назад
looking at Olfa's catalog 80% chance its 18mm assuming its based on the 225/224 model

Ya if you zoom in a little at timestamp 1:05-1:06 you can read the Olfa 18mm stamp on the blade.

Why does it say “Made in Japan” in English if it was for Japan distribution only?
@AToolWithTools
@AToolWithTools 4 месяца назад
It's extremely common. I have several things from brands who have absolutely no presence in the USA, they can only be had by importing. And most of the time even with all the Japanese on the package (they do add some elements of English once in a while, like the Hara Rule Co putting "aluminum" on their packaging for the aluminum body tape measure, or the famous Sunflag 2001 "Pecker" ratchet screwdriver) they still say Made in Japan in English somewhere. English is a widely understood language, and in the case that someone does import them to the USA its helpful because imports must declare COO in plain English as either "Made in X" or "Product of X" per the law. It's part of the effort to enforce tariffs and duties. And think of Knipex. They aren't gonna spend the money on a whole different set of forging dies that say Made in Germany on them. They use the same dies for all markets. They just localize with the packaging, yet their tools say Made in Germany in English on them everywhere.

@@AToolWithTools Yes! I do remember that Japanese made stereo components had English labels in the 60s and 70s even if they were intended for domestic markets.
