In this episode, we take a closer look on how each stopstick is carefully handle.
First of all, the Japanese artisan sanded out each individual piece through a running sanding machine to get rid of any excess pieces that can causes irritations for the skin. Yet that is not the only thing that this Japanese artisan focus. He then carefully used a firmer sand paper to sand down the piece of bamboo to create a smooth texture on the surface as well as to make sure that both chopstick is at the same size.
Later on, the Japanese artisans brushed the chopsticks with clay to give the piece a nice shade to later on be painted on.
This step is ver important to the latter steps as it plays as a fundamental and prerequisite role in indicating the quality of the bamboo chopstick later on.
