Yes Shin, we Filipinos are peace loving people and just to prove that the bravery of our soldiers will fight for freedom and will sacrifice our life to help allies against communism. Not only that, we accepted the Jews, White Russians, Vietnamese and now the refuges coming from Afghanistan. Long live the Philippines helping other nations in need.
Germany din austria kht mga Chinese Nanirahan dto bilang refugee Kaya marami ng Chinese na naninirahan dto dhl d na sila bumalik s abansa,, kht pa ang Chinese isa dn sa mga sumakop sa bansa natin na di nagtagumpay
to people who dont understand tagalog: "germany and austria as well, even the chinese" "living here as refugees" "thats why many chinese are living here because they dont return/leave the (abansa/bansa? bansa means "country", abansa could be a typo for "avansa", meaning "forward progress"). even the chinese, one of one of those who tried to conquer our country did not succeed." i swear im a natural born pinay, its just that im much better at english and japanese than tagalog... (note: i think "abansa" could be cebuano, but i cant be sure since i dont speak it.) ("cebuano" is one of 175 indigenous languages in the philippines.)
Why Filipinos are good in Battle??? It is all about experience... Inter-Kingdom Battle, Philippine Revolution against Spain, Philippine-American War, World War II, And, Korean War...
Yeh, like our country itself is very veteran when it comes to war, for many centuries, war is one of our assets. Because we are exposed to such a long term war in many fields, we grew with it.
its more complicated than that, lets put into context that china's qing dynasty was dissolved and replaced with the "republic of china" which was accidentally weaker than the previous government while being ruled by the same person. this then started a civil war that brought china to its knees right until the sino-japanese war (just before ww2) where china got absolutely demolished by japan, and by the end of the war they literally had no experienced soldiers or generals left. then the korean war started in 1950 (just 5 years later) and china thought that just because they replenished their military through mass conscription and buying every soviet weapon, tanks, planes, artillery, and rockets they could get their hands on. and they mistakenly had the overconfidence to think that the UN was not experienced enough for war, particularly the philippine peftok who were all veterans from ww2, surviving everything from the battle of corregidor to the bataan death march, they were practically special forces commandos at this point and acted like it. despite having sent only a few thousand of them to korea, they pulled the weight of several nations worth of contribution all by themselves, particularly in the battle of yultong where both the turkish brigade and 65th US infantry regiment were forced to retreat while the peftok 10th bct stayed behind to cover their retreat with screening fire. then spent the next 3 days wiping thousands of chinese turkeys off the map with minimal casualties until the US forces managed to reinforce them. then in the intervening weeks, the 20th bct were tasked as one of the forces to capture eerie hill, wipe every chinese turkey off the face of the earth with rolling artillery barrages, and storm through their battlelines with philippine and american sherman tanks. until operation shock & awe was done decades later, i considered this moment as one of the most badarse moments in "boots on the ground" military history. edit: funnily enough china finds themselves in exactly the same situation today, having amassed so much firepower, and yet all of their soldiers (and i mean every single one of them) are all greenhorns with zero combat experience, and are afraid for their lives, even their families are afraid for them since they are their families only heirs thanks to the now abolished (too little too late) one china policy.
Hey Shin I am sorry if I said something offensive on your other vlog, I was just emotional the truth is we Filipinos are cheerful individuals and love to help. Happy New Year!
I didn't know this part of my country's history... Wow... Our soldiers used to be heroes... What happened to us? We are still brave and doesn't back down... But only in social media...
@King Actually filipinos have already cannons called lantakas, Huge Warboats and also different class of melees before the spaniards came. Mestizos can't rule the Philippines in the spanish period, yes they ruled the philippines when the filipinos built its own government 1st philippine republic and btw philippines can ruled whether its mestizo or native but the leader must be a filipino
@@blackprofile2927 @King It is actually true that precolonial Philippines did not entirely rely on other countries or other races in fact we were the ones helping other races those days, also we were the primary wepon maker in Asia if you do not belive me watch kirby araullo a renowned Filipino Culture Bearer and currently the National Coordinator for Culture and Heritage for NAFCON (National Alliance for Filipino Concerns), he has a youtube channel.

During the time of Explorers and Conquest. One of the them by the Name of Ferdinan Magellan was Killed when they got here in the Philippines by a warrior name Lapu-lapu.
You should search and watch react about a japanese imperial officer in ww2 beloved and revered by the town folks he was assigned to after the japanese occupation. He was still reverred by that province up to the present. He even have his own shinto shrine in that province. His name is Isao Yamazoe
Gen Douglas McArthur once said... "Give me a thousand of Filipino soldiers and we will win the war. And give me 10,000 Filipino soldiers and shall conquer the world!!!" Strong message coming from a well known American General...
douglas mcarthur was simply exagerating, philippines have not successfully defended their country against the japanese, spanish, americans and the chinese, no one in his right of mind will believe that philippinese can conquer the world.
@@igorivanov7232 that time was when the Filipinos are not united and almost 90 percent of the Filipino soldiers depend on (“ itak “ or bolo) machete, sphere and sword against guns. How would you win that battle?
The weakness of filipinos is their disunity. This is what I have observed reading PH history with great heroes dying because their own countrymen turn their backs against them in favor of foreign favors. This is still happening even to this day and I am ashamed to see most filipinos are more comfortable using english in communication rather than their own native language and can't even speak a full sentence without mixing foreign words in it. I truly believe that if filipinos are united and is truly passionate with who they are then we see the result like the battle of yultong and showing that filipinos are strong fighters and can overcome even greater powers. Filipinos have great potential but until that great potential is tapped with the proper attitude then nothing would change with how the worlds sees PH now.
There are over 120 indigenous languages in the country, so a foreign common language actually helps in some ways to unify the country and prevent certain disputes based on ethnic identity. The dilution of these languages can be a problem, but most of these languages are ill-equipped to handle ever increasing amounts of modern terminology without borrowing words outright. There is, after all, the problem of information exchange when using indigenous language for legal, technical, scientific, engineering, and pop culture concepts. What's needed is a better way to promote actual national identity and pride without dividing the country by superficial differences such as spoken language. The country needs things that go beyond spoken language. In this way, the internet and modern transportation infrastructure are actually slowly bringing Filipinos closer together.
@@niccosalonga9009 Japan handles modern words very well and most words are based on the local language first before adapting the foreign word. China is on the extreme end of inventing their own words representing a foreign word. Language is part of a nation's identity and mindset and speaking in foreign language also influences the mindset to think in a foreign way. This is something I fear for filipinos that will slowly just adapt foreign languages as the everyday language and their own becoming archaic. It's a modern day colonialism with pop culture being the cause of language and local culture dying or go extinct.
@@kilat1791 The problem here is you'd need over 100 language authorities to make that work and in the end the new words won't get farther than the ethnic group that uses the specific language the new words are designed for. For example, the tagalogs would say something like "salipawpaw", the bisayans would make something up like "lupadyanan", the ilocanos would make up another word, etc. instead of just saying airplane, or eroplano, as the word comes out when spoken in the way native speakers of many of these languages tend to speak... The new word for each language would bring the language speakers of each group no closer to understanding the members of the other groups. While I understand the importance of preserving culture, there's no way you can forge a national identity using a single language here without actually eradicating parts of the cultural identity of the speakers of other languages within the country. The fact that the language called Filipino is based on Tagalog is already quite controversial in some parts of the country.
@@niccosalonga9009 Filipino language can be used and they can be a mix of all local dialects. Kawatan is a visayan word but also used by tagalog people and magnanakaw still exist and interchangeable with kawatan. The same is true with tagalog words being used and interchangeable with local dialects. There are many ways to have a common language without depending on foreign words too much. So what is needed is to encourage a national level language that is based on a mix of all filipino language because language is a big influence in how someone thinks. Filipino is already a subject in school so that shouldn't be a problem and adding a subject about local dialect would help preserve it. There is no need to fight over which is the base language of filipino because what matters is that the local language is the norm and therefore the mindset of people is focused on their home country instead of thinking like foreigners. As long as the local dialect is also a subject in school, I don't see a problem with filipino being based on tagalog mixed with other dialects. Honestly, I just feel sad when I see a filipino talks and can't form a single sentence without foreign words mixed in in contrast to a Japanese that can speak a paragraph with minimal foreign words in it.
@@kilat1791 So your suggestion is the creation of Esperanto out of nearly 200 languages? I don't think that'll work very well. Consider the meaning differences of the words Utong, Ilog, Bitaw, and Libang in just two of these languages. While I do think we should devote more resources to local language education, ensure local words are not supplanted, and have a system for coining new words, the creation of an artificial national language that encapsulates the spirit of each local language group is improbable at best, is going to be just about as problematic as use of a foreign one (especially for the more linguistically divergent groups from the 8 most used ones), and has a greater chance of supplanting local words which should be preserved to begin with.
It's not just Philippines tho all of allies also won cuz they helped Philippines too but mostly Philippines mostly all did the damage and some allies gave up and left their position while Philippines kept fighting and accomplished their promised that Korean would be free. but s. 4:25 The Chinese used "human wave" tactics, which made them vulnerable to automatic fire, mortars and artillery. Human wave tactics are very costly, as can be seen with the present Ukraine-Russia war. Great reaction!
Filipinos have ALWAYS had to fight forces much larger than theirs.. We are used to being the underdog, that and we lived through one of the most ruthless dictators and assembled some of the most effective Gorilla warfare and soldiers in modern history.
PEFTOKs were armed with M1 Garands The Reds were armed usually with PPsh or older generation Arisaka rifles stolen from Japan in ww2 so PEFTOKS had better range :)
Filipinos fight hard.... we dont necessarily have the best equipment or overwhelming numbers but when we fight, we FIGHT. its like when Japanese soldiers do their battle cry "Tennōheika Banzai!!" before charging into the enemy, us Filipinos have a battle cry too. its "PENOY BALUT!!"
Why are our soldiers good at fighting? Since the europeans decided to extend their stay in our country, we are also a warrior race, but if there’s option for peace we prefer that :)
It was not only that the Filipinos were good at figthing, but also they were figthing chinese who had no history of success in fighting other races. Besides, the chinese were not fully committed to fight and die for other nation that was north koreans.
Do you know that by keeping korea China will gain more control in security concerns, the need to consolidate CCP's regime and domestic control, and the ideologies possessed by the individual leaders and China was fearful that the United Nations forces would remain in North Korea and pose a threat to China. (I am trying to say that Chinese people wasn't fighting for North Korea but for China itself.)
omg i shouldnt be laughing at this since elpidio quirino was one of our better presidents, but you saying his name like "elpedo kirino" made me lose it lmao xD (proper pronunciation: elpidio quirino = elpi-dee-o ki-ri-nou - - tagalog vowels usually have a flat pronunciation like with japanese vowels, but this is one of the few exceptions.)

I'm sorry to tell you that this story is just a boast of the weak. If the Filipino soldiers were really brave and skilled in battle, would they be ruled by Japan and Spain? Will it be colonized by the United States?
